THERE ARE SO MANY GOOD REASONS TO BE A RACER AT GRANDVIEW

BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 5, 2011 . . . Racers choosing to compete at Grandview Speedway are rewarded very well.
Each season thousands of dollars are paid out by the management of Grandview Speedway along with a number of sponsors and the sanctioning organization, NASCAR.
In addition to offering the most lucrative weekly prize money of most area speedways Grandview Speedway offers a handsome point fund money at the end of the season with $10,000 going to the NASCAR 358 Modified champion driver and car owner. That is in addition to the NASCAR point money.
The track, now in its 49th season of operation, offers $10,000 to win the Pioneer Pole Buildings Forrest Rogers Memorial and more than $20,000 to win the BPG Racing Freedom 76.
Kicking off with the month of May will be weekly Hard Charger awards for the Modified and Late Models. The weekly cash awards are sponsored by Salvage Transport of Coplay, PA, Cornerstone Auto Sales, Fleetwood, PA and a variety of sponsors associated with Modified racer Bobby Günter Walsh.
Other special weekly awards are posted by Cargo Trailer Sales, Lansdale, PA, Dan’s Deli, Boyertown, PA and Chrisman Meats, Oley, PA.
VP Racing Fuels is new to Grandview Speedway this year and is providing a contingency program for Modified racers that includes four different events at Grandview for the Modified. Racers must carry the VP Racing Fuels decals and patches and, of course, use VP Racing Fuels to qualify for the fuel certificates being given.
The April 2nd season opener and April 9th 40-lapper were the first two events included in the VP Racing Fuels program. The Pioneer Pole Buildings Forrest Rogers Memorial and the BPG Racing Freedom 76 will be the next two events carrying VP awards.
The team utilizing VP Racing gasoline placing highest in the NASCAR 358 Modified standings at Grandview will earn a $500 fuel certificate.
Grandview Speedway is part of the American Racer East Coast Modified Cup point battle that rewards racers with more than $140,000 in cash and perks. Duane Howard, the 2010 Modified champion at Grandview, picked up $10,000 for winning the Cup last season.
NASCAR rewards their outstanding performers in the Whelen All American Series with a variety of cash awards. Howard finished third in the NASCAR Whelan All American Series National standings in 2010 picking up $5,000 plus being honored at a star studded banquet in Charlotte, NC. He was also the NASCAR State Champion picking up an additional cash award.
And it is not all about the Modifieds, the primary division of competition, as the exciting Late Models all share in a variety of awards, increased prize money this year, Grandview point fund money and NASCAR money.
Grandview Speedway may be the only short track racing facility in the nation offering two point funs for both divisions with money coming from the Rogers family, owners of the speedway, and the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Racing continues each and every Saturday night throughout the season, April through September, along with a number of special events being presented.
Grandview Speedway, a one-third-mile, banked clay speedway, is located at 43 Pass more Road in Bechtelsville, PA, just off Route 100 10 miles north of Pottstown. For race information check in at www.grandviewspeedway.com or telephone 610.754.7688.
