STRONG TURNOUT KICKSOFF URC SEASON AT SPRING COMPETITORS MEETING
A strong turnout of drivers and owners attended the URC Spring Competitors Meeting on Sunday at the Clarion Hotel in Newark, DE. Numerous topics were discussed including the exciting Rislone URC Sprint Series schedule for 2011. Without a doubt, this year's schedule offers the most prestigious and financially lucrative seasons in URC history. Twenty-nine race dates and numerous high profile events fill the series that will open at the Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday, April 9 at 6 PM.
The always strong URC sponsorship programs are back in 2011 and include Rislone as the tour sponsor with associate sponsorships from Choice Hotels, Pioneer Pole Buildings (PPB) and Viper Fuels. LikeWise Construction will return with the Fast Time of the night cash award as well as the Fred's Trailer Parts New York/New Jersey Point Series and Hard Charger Award. Valley Forge Inc is back as sponsor of the Pennsylvania Sprint Series along with Taylor & Messick, sponsor of the Delaware State Sprint Series. Heat race sponsors include Engler, Brad Penn and PPB as the Audi Shop will sponsor the nightly "B" mains.
Chubby from C&B Mushrooms will offer a $500 cash bonus to the driver with the most feature wins in 2011.
URC announced a team of drivers and owners that will make up a Tech Committee for 2011 and the list includes Fred Kennedy, Pat Palladino, Art Liedl, Kevin Darling and Tech Inspector Midge Miller.
Rookie driver Steve Whary of Lebanon, PA attended the meeting and announced his plans to chase the 2011 URC Rookie of the Year honors. Whary competed weekly with the 358 sprints in 2010.
URC is proud to announce their American Racer tire prices for the coming season. Front tires will sell for $138, the left rear will sell for $160 and the right rear will sell for $169. Midge Miller will handle tires for URC in 2011.

A reminder to teams planning to compete in the April 9 Bridgeport Speedway URC opener, you should plan to arrive early (2:30 PM) to be pre-teched by the State of New Jersey. Drivers must bring their valid driver's license.
