New Egypt Speedway & BD Motorsports Media Align With Big-Race Qualifiers for 2011 Season; Nine Major Events Included

BOYERTOWN, PA - New Egypt Speedway, the half-mile clay oval in New Egypt, N.J., has announced a working relationship with Boyertown, Pa.-based special events promoter BD Motorsports Media for the 2011 season.

NES general manager Danny Serrano and Brett Deyo of BD Motorsports Media will work cooperatively in an exchange of qualifiers throughout the year. New Egypt opens its season with the 'Cabin Fever 60' Race of Champions Dart Dirt Modified & Sportsman doubleheader this Saturday (March 26).

The winner of the 'Cabin Fever' RoC event earns a guaranteed starting position in the 'Anthracite Assault' RoC Dirt Modified Tour 60-lap showdown at Big Diamond (Pa.) Speedway on Wednesday, June 22. BD Motorsports Media, in conjunction with Race of Champions Motorsports and property owners Fritz and Krista Roehrig, returns RoC to Big Diamond for the first time since 2006. Big-block/small-block Modifieds will run sail panels in this anticipated event.

The Saturday, July 2 winner at NES in the 'Yankee Classic' is rewarded with a guaranteed spot in the Sunday, Oct. 16 King of the Can at Penn Can Speedway in Susquehanna, Pa. The King of the Can, a traditional year-end event at Penn Can, is a co-promotion between Penn Can managers Al Wilcox and Reed Miller and BD Motorsports Media. The King of the Can is a 50-lap event paying $5,000 to the winner.

The Tuesday, Aug. 16 'Mid-Week Special' at NES, featuring a 40-lapper for the Modifieds, provides the victor with a guaranteed starting berth in the fourth edition of the Short Track SuperNationals at Five Mile Point Speedway in Kirkwood, N.Y., on Saturday, Oct. 8. Known as the "Working Man's Race" the SuperNationals has pulled fields of more than 70 Modifieds in its last two runnings.

The winner of Penn Can Speedway's historic $8,000-to-win 'Clash at the Can' BD/Wilcox/Miller production on Tuesday, June 7, a 60-lap RoC Dirt Modified Tour event, receives a guaranteed spot in New Egypt's $15,000-to-win Friends of Mike 100-lapper on Saturday, July 30.  Likewise, the June 22 'Anthracite Assault' Big Diamond 60-lapper victor transfers into the Friends of Mike race.

Five Mile Point's Short Track SuperNationals winning driver receives a guaranteed start in the 'Rocktoberfest' race at NES Saturday, Oct. 15.

The Short Track SuperNationals (Oct. 8), King of the Can (Oct. 16), $8,000-to-win 'Clash at the Can' (June 7) and Hot Summer Night (Aug. 9) comprise the VP Racing Fuels Short Track Four Crown presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. A four-race champion will be crowned and teams entering all events will be eligible for contingency prizes and awards.
