READING, PA - The 26th edition of the Racing Legends Reunion & Car Show presented by Reading Eagle and WEEU 830 AM concluded on Saturday after a weeklong run at the Fairgrounds Square Mall. Bobby Stull, former official at Penn National Speedway, served as the master of ceremonies for the second annual reunion at the show. The Grantville, Pa., speedway hosted its final event in 1996. Stull interviewed more than a dozen former Penn Nationals racers, officials and sponsors, bringing back memories and stories from the glory days of racing at the 'Aristocrat' of racing facilities.

Early in the afternoon Speedway Entertainment employee Mike Feltenberger interviewed the 'Next Generation' of racing stars on stage, with competitors from the Junior Slingshot, Quarter Midget and go-kart ranks in Center Court.

The Reading Fairgrounds Speedway Racing Historical Society turned back the clock with an expansive display featuring vintage/restored race cars and a tribute to the Reading Fairgrounds Speedway 'Home of Champions' which closed its doors in June 1979.

Collectibles, racing videos and printed materials, speedway/sanction displays, local speed suppliers, racing organizations and the popular Randy's Raceway slot car track provided plenty to keep show attendees occupied.

Mahoning Valley Speedway, the circular paved quarter-mile located in Lehighton, Pa., had a strong presence at this year's Racing Legends Reunion. Promoters Doug and Gena Hoffman assembled a display promoting the speedway's upcoming season.
