Momentum Builds for 26th annual Racing Legends Reunion & Car Show presented by Reading Eagle and WEEU 830 AM; Registration Open for Racers & Vendors



READING, PA - Momentum is building for the 26th annual Racing Legends Reunion & Car Show presented by Reading Eagle and WEEU 830AM.



The anticipated off-season event, held at the Fairgrounds Square Mall on 5th Street Highway in Reading, Pa. - the site of the former Reading Fairgrounds Speedway - is set for Sunday-Saturday Feb. 20-26, 2011. For the second consecutive year, BD Motorsports Media will manage the day-to-day operations of the show founded by Bob Miller over a quarter-century ago.



Well over 100 race cars are expected jam the mall for the event. Attendees will be greeted by vendors selling racing collectibles, speedway and sanctioning body displays, interactive interviews and autograph sessions with popular drivers from yesterday, today and tomorrow.



The Reading Fairgrounds Speedway Racing Historical Society will be on hand with its popular display remembering the glory days of racing at the famed 'Home of Champions' which hosted its final race in 1979, won by Dave Kelly.



Registration for race cars is now open for the Racing Legends Reunion & Car Show. Entry forms have been posted on the web at www.bdmotorsportsmedia.com. Completed forms should be mailed to Brett Deyo, 137 Village Drive Boyertown, PA 19512. Complete registration information can be submitted via e-mail to Brett Deyo at Deyo99H@aol.com. A vehicle registration fee of $25, covers insurance, should be remitted upon arrival at the mall on setup day.



The first entries have already been received by the show office. All space is reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Notable events during the 26th annual Racing Legends Reunion & Car Show include the Reading Fairgrounds Speedway Reunion on Friday (Feb. 25) at 6:30 p.m. and the BASH Racing Awards Party (show awards to be distributed and prestigious Don Marks Memorial Award presented) on Friday (Feb. 25) at 9 p.m. The Penn National (Pa.) Speedway Reunion, a popular first-time event last year, is set for Saturday (Feb. 26) at 5:30 p.m.



The Applebee's location adjacent to the mall will again welcome drivers from various sectors of motorsports as guest bartenders during the week. Last year's guest bartending was well received by show attendees.
