BILLY PAUCH SET TO RUN BPG RACING FREEDOM 76 AT GRANDVIEW

LAP AND AWARD SPONSORSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR FREEDOM RACE

BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 18, 2010 . . . Legendary dirt track racing star Billy Pauch, a winner of more than 600 feature races in stock cars and sprints, will challenge the “cream of the crop” in local modified stock car racing when he participates in the 40th annual BPG Racing Freedom 76 paying $20,000 to the winner at Grandview Speedway on Saturday, September 18th.

Pauch, being interviewed on the popular Racers Roundtable radio show, hosted by Pete Knappenberger, told listeners that the Freedom 76 is on his schedule in September. It has been a while since Pauch has participated in the dirt track racing classic.

The Frenchtown, NJ racer is a six time winner of the event (1988, 91, 92, 96, 98 and 2000). In fact the 53 year old racer, still a regular at New Egypt, NJ Speedway where he is a consistent winner, has won the Freedom 76 more often than any other driver.

Pauch will go up against six time track champion Craig VonDohren, eight time champion Jeff Strunk, current 358 Modified point leader Duane Howard and a host of other top talents.

Advance tickets for the event will go on sale at the track on Saturday, September 4th. Adult tickets will sell for $30, children 6 thru 11 pay $10 and under 6 are admitted free.

Lap and award sponsorships are currently available with the sponsorship of a lap costing just $10. Laps 10,20,30,40,50, 60, and 70 are priced at $25. Lap sponsors have their names listed in the special edition Grandview Groove track magazine and are mentioned by the track announcer.

Award sponsorships are available along with advertising in the Grandview Groove magazine.

An ad in the program book, which is contains a recap of the season, would give race teams an opportunity to thank their sponsors for their support during the 2010 season. Fans could wish their favorite driver good luck.
