BECHTELSVILLE, PA July 14, 2010 . . . Fans coming out for the WNPV-1440AM Radio Night at Grandview Speedway this Saturday night (July 17th) will have a chance to win more than $1,000 in Pocono Raceway tickets and see some fantastic action packed stock car racing featuring the NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Late Models. Racing gets the green flag at 7:30 p.m.

“We will have three pair of tickets to give away courtesy of WNPV and Pocono Raceway,” said track public relations person Ernie Saxton. “There will be 2 Terrace Club seats for the August 1ST Sprint Cup race with a value of $500. And there are a pair of Terrace Club tickets for the July 31st Camping World Truck/ARCA races and there are other tickets. The tickets are valued at more than $1000 and every fan will have a chance at winning them.”

Duane Howard, the current NASCAR 358 Modified point leader, will be trying to top Craig VonDohren who has been on a hot streak lately. VonDohren has six Saturday night feature wins to his credit. Eight time track champion Jeff Strunk, with a new motor in his 358 modified, will be trying to get to victory lane for the first time this season.

A long list of talented racers will be adding to the modified racing excitement on Saturday including Ryan Godown, Mike Gular, Jason Smythe, Jon Kellner Sr., Doug Manmiller, Jason Hamilton and a host of others.

And the late models have a close point battle going on between leader Chuck Schutz and defending champion Brian Shuey. Randy Stoudt is in the top four as is Randall Paxton. They will all be in action on Saturday.

Adding some excitement for the late models will be the fact that the leader of each lap in the 20-lap feature will receive $14.40 courtesy of Joe and Linda Moskal of WNPV Radio.

The 358 modifieds will run in four 12-lap qualifying heat races and two 10-lap consolation races with the top 28 performers racing in the 30-lap WNPV Radio Night feature race. Three qualifying heats, each eight laps, plus an eight lap consolation race will have 24-cars scheduled for the 20-lap main event.

Coming up on Saturday, July 24th is Hatfield Quality Meats Night featuring the 358 modifieds and late models. Smiley, the Hatfield mascot, will be there to give away a Weber charcoal grill to a lucky fan and as is the norm on their sponsored nights there will be free samples of Hatfield product. In addition the first 200 paying adults to enter the speedway will receive a free ticket to the NASCAR Truck/ARCA doubleheader at Pocono Raceway on July 31 and all fans will have a chance to win tickets to the Sunday, August lst NASCAR Sprint Cup 500 at Pocono.

The month of July closes out on July 31st with the first time appearance of the traveling Steel Block Bandits Late Models with the Grandview late models invited to participate. In addition Sportsman stock cars will be in action with racing at 7:30 p.m. There will be no NASCAR 358 Modifieds that evening.

NEETS Enduro racing along with the SpeedSTRs will be in action on Sunday, August 1st at 2 p.m.
