Kutztown Fairgrounds Speedway Returns To Action Wednesday (July 14) With HTMA Pro Series 600 Special Event Plus 270cc Micro-Sprints, Slingshots & Young Gun 390 Sprints



KUTZTOWN, PA - After a two-week break, the Fairgrounds at Kutztown Speedway returns to action this Wednesday night, July 14.



The one-fifth-mile clay oval in the shadows of Kutztown University has been silent since June 23 due to the PA German Festival on the fairgrounds property. However, racing resumes in a big way with the first-ever Kutztown appearance of the popular HTMA Pro Series for the wingless 600cc Micro-Sprints. It will also mark the first wingless event in the history of the Pro Series.



Tyler Walton leads the HTMA Pro Series standings entering the Kutztown event. Mike Rutherford, Shane Lewis, Jake Murphy and Ryan Greth complete the top-five.



Car entry for the 600cc Micro-Sprints will be $45 for this event. Pit entry remains $20. The Pro Series race has a rain date of July 21.



Also on the card are 270cc Micro-Sprints, Slingshots and Young Gun 390 Sprints. Chuck's Auto Salvage and Century 21 Park Road serve as the event sponsors.



Kutztown points leaders following the break are Jeff Hartman (600cc), Richie Hartman (270cc) and Mike Glass (Slingshot).



Gates open weekly at 4 p.m., with practice at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. Grandstand admission for 2010 is as follows: Adults -$8; Students (10-17)/Seniors/Kutztown Residents with ID - $5; Kids under 10 - FREE. Pit admission is $20 (no membership required) and car registration is $20.
