ARDC MIDGETS TOP TRIPLEHEADER ATGRANDVIEW ON SATURDAY



BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 12, 2010 . . . The excitement of wingless Midget auto racing will be the featured attraction at Grandview Speedway on Saturday, May 15 with the green flag falling at 7:30 p.m. The Midgets will be part of a fan pleasing tripleheader show that will also include the NASCAR 358 Modifieds and the open cockpit SpeedSTRS.

NASCAR Modified ace Billy Pauch Jr. will be testing his talents against the Modifieds and Midgets. The Frenchtown, NJ racer has been a winner in the Midgets already this season and is a top talent in the Modifieds.

Duane Howard, the current point leader in the chase for the NASCAR 358 Modified title, eight time Modified champion Jeff Strunk, Ryan Godown, Doug Manmiller and Meme DeSantis are in a top five battle for the lucrative titles. In that group only Godown has been able to win a feature and no one has been able to win more than once so far this season.

Brian Shuey, the current Late Model point leader, is using his night off from Late Model racing to test his talents racing a SpeedSTR for the first time.

Each division of competition will race qualifying events and a feature race.

The Checkered Flag Fan Club will be on hand to honor the winners and sign up new and renewal members. The CFFC is one of the oldest auto racing fan clubs in the nation and is well known for their Injured Drivers Fund which has helped many over the years.

Admission for the special tripleheader show is $20 for adults, $5 for youngsters 6 thru 11 and under 6 are admitted for FREE.

Coming up on Saturday, May 22, 7:30 p.m. is a doubleheader show featuring NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Late Models. The night will be sponsored by 3 STARZ Landscaping of Hatboro, PA.

PIT NOTES: Thursday, May 13, 6 p.m. Brad Missimer, winner of the NASCAR 358 Modified feature last Saturday night, rookie Kevin Albert Jr. and Late Model racer Kory Fleming will be signing autographs from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lehigh Valley Grand Prix in Allentown, PA. The three drivers will be racing karts when the autograph session is over. There will be prizes for fans including Grandview race tickets.

On May 20th Ron Kline and Kyle Merkel will be at Lehigh Valley Grand Prix.

Current Grandview Speedway NASCAR 358 Modified point leader Duane Howard is now sitting 18th in the top 500 NASCAR Whelen All American Series National standings.
