VONDOHREN, SNYDER AND READINGER WIN FEATURES AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 2, 2010 . . . For the 71st time in his career but the first of the season, Craig VonDohren was able to drive to victory in the 30-lap NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modified feature race at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night. Danny Snyder earned his second career victory in the 20-lap Late Model feature while Tracy Readinger was tops in the 20-lap Sidewinder Sprint feature race.

VonDohren came from 12th starting spot in the 30-car feature to take the lead on the 21st lap and held off Kevin Hirthler to pick up the $2,200 first place money. Hirthler finished second followed by Jeff Strunk, Ryan Godown and Duane Howard.

Danny Snyder led all the laps, held off challenges from Randall Paxton and Randy Stoudt, to win the Late Model feature. Stoudt finished second followed by Paxton, Brian Shuey and Rick Todorow.

Tracy Readinger, a former Modified stock car competitor at Grandview, took the lead at about the halfway point to ride to victory in the Sidewinder Sprint feature. Mark Strickler came from way back in the starting field to finish second followed by Mike Dicely, Mike Kiser and D.J. Montgomery.

Racing returns to Grandview Speedway on Saturday, May 8th at 7:30 p.m. with NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Late Models in a show sponsored by Auto Locator Magazine. Then on Sunday, May 9th, Mother’s Day at 2 p.m. the NEETS Enduro racers and SpeedSTRS will be in action.
