RAIN WASHES OUT SATURDAY NASCAR RACING AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY
BECHTELSVILLE, PA April 24, 2010 . . . It was not a heavy rain but a persistent drizzle along with cold temperatures and the forecast for heavy rain headed their way that forced the cancellation of the Saturday night NASCAR stock racing events at Grandview Speedway.
The Auto Locator Magazine Night that was to be part of the evening of racing will be rescheduled for a later date.
Racing action will return to the Bechtelsville clay oval on Saturday, May 1st with a tripleheader show being planned. Included in the 7:30 p.m. show (note the new starting time that will be in place until the September 18th BPG Racing Freedom 76) will be the NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modifieds, Late Models and the Sidewinder sprints making their only appearance of the season.
Admission for the special tripleheader show on May 1 will be just $13 for adults, the same as the regular Saturday night admission. Youngsters 6 through 11 are admitted for just $5 while children under 6 are admitted FREE. There is always free parking on the grounds of the Grandview Speedway.
NASCAR 358 Modified racers competing at Grandview Speedway now have the opportunity to be part of the American Racer/Lias Racing Tire East Coast Modified Cup offering more than $100,000 in cash and prizes. In addition the Modified and Late Models race to earn cash in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series and the Grandview Speedway point funds.
A special advertising opportunity is available for businesses wishing to advertise in the Grandview Groove track magazine. Business card size ads for new advertisers are priced at just $150 and will run for the balance of the season.
