21st Thunder Series Set for Grandview Speedway. . . . .

SPORTSMAN TO PLAY BIG PART IN THE 2010 NAPA AUTO PARTS THUNDER ON THE HILL RACING SERIES



In 2009, the Sportsman were invited to take part in the October Grandview Thunder 5-25's. The interest in this show was over-whelming, however, rain forced the cancellation of the highly anticipated event. In 2010, the sportsman will have the opportunity to compete in four Grandview Speedway Thunder events, including the series opener set for Wednesday night, May 26 when they join the always exciting 410 sprint cars in the Keystone Cup Series event.



The May 26 Sportsman show will be open to all competitors with heat race events, a consolation and a 20 lap feature on the program. The second Thunder Series Sportsman event is set for Tuesday night, June 15 and will be an invitational for the top thirty in points following the May 26 event. The Sportsman will compete in heats and a 20 lap feature. Also on the June 15 event will be the return of the Super DirtCar Series 100 lap Traffic Jam for Big Block Modifieds.



On Wednesday night, July 14 the Race of Champions (ROC) sportsman will compete in a series of heat race events, a consolation and a 40 lap feature. Sharing the card will be the ROC Modifieds in a 60 lap feature event. This ROC Sportsman event is open to all competitors and will follow the ROC rules.



The sportsman will again be invited to take part in the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series season finale on Saturday night, October 16 at Grandview Speedway. The top twenty in sportsman points from the three Thunder events will make-up the starting field for the feature only 25 lap main event.

The NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series has a spectacular season planned. Along with the 410 Sprints and Sportsman, plan to attend the always exciting USAC wingless sprints and ARDC wingless midgets, plus the DirtCar Big Block Modifieds, the World of Outlaws Late Models, ROC Modifieds and Sportsman and the always popular Grandview Thunder 5-25's. The 21st season is sure to be the biggest in Thunder on the Hill history.
