16 year old boyertown high school honor roll student, Blaine Bracelin Jr. Son of former modified standout Blaine Bracelin Sr, will see some action in a teo modified this year. With the support of Merkel Racing, and the entire merkel family. Also supporting blaine jr's effort's this year will be sponsor's Wynne Construction, Hildebrant Race Engine's along with Paige Lettering.
In addition the team is still searching for more sponsorship to possibly expand on their schedule in 2010 and run some added shows to gain more seat time in the modified. Blaine's car was a former dave stonebraker mount that he won an orange county feature with. Young blaine will also continue to race his quarter midget were he has over 15 feature wins in each of the last three seasons, that's alot of wins to his credit.
The Team plans for the first race in 2010 will be at hagerstown, (weather permitting). Then off to grandview speedway's open practice, and occasional trips to the delaware international speedway for some more seat time. Hopefully everything will fall into place for youg blaine, and we will have a chance to see this second generation driver rise to become a future star on the local modified scene. Possibly a young gun in the making??
Blaine's #79 modified was recently on display during the coventry mall show, and i have to say the car look's great!! Good the see the #79 back in action. Best of luck Blaine Jr, and the entire team!
