22nd Annual Lebanon Race Car Show Completed

The 22nd annual Lebanon Race Car Show closed it's doors at the Lebanon Exposition Center, on Saturday Night, after an outstanding showing of attractive race cars, ready for the 2010 season. The competition for the Merchandiser "Best of Show" racer, saw Daryl Dissinger of Hummelstown, take the Best Trophy, for his # x5 Teo Pro 358 Modified, that can be seen racing weekly at Big Diamond Raceway. The supportive RAACE foundation racer, styled pink in color, for Breast Cancer Awareness promotion, was sitting in a bed of mulch, with a stone perimeter, that clearly drew the attention of all attending race fans.

Jasen Geesaman of Lebanon, was a clear winner of the medium sized Show Trophy, for his mostly new # 11, stunning black & blue Charger street stock, seen weekly racing at Linda's Speedway in Jonestown. A third Best Trophy was awarded to Michael Fry of Fredericksburg, for his brand new # 51 600 Modified, that he plans to race on local small track speedways, throughout the area.

The annual Lebanon Race Car Show Queen Contest, saw 20 yr. Charlene Gower of Lock Haven Pa. being elected "Miss Racette 2010". Charlene was attracted to the Lebanon Motorsports EXPO queen contest, in honor of her older sister Christina Gower Capecci, who was a popular Miss Racette 2001, when she was active in race activities, at Clyde Martin Speedway. Sadly Christina suffered a fatal vehicle accident last year.

The new Miss Racette, Charlene Gower is a sales representative for Tim Bower's In-Stitches business and plans to further her education by attending Penn Tech School, later this year. She has been assisting the Daryl Dissinger group, supporting the RAACE Foundation and American Cancer Society activities. Attractive, former Ms. Dirt Trackin 2008 title holder, Lindsay Krug of Hanover, collected the Runner-up Miss Racette 2010 prize, stated, she "vows to be back next year, to win the contest".

Little Miss Racette winners were - 5 yr. Alexis Geesaman, daughter of Jasen and Julie Geesaman pf Lebanon , 7 yr. Alexis Krug, daughter of Lindsay & Jesse Krug of Hanover, and 8yr. Eve Noelle Krick, daughter of Joe & Jane Krick of Lebanon. All Lil' Miss Racette winners received a queen crown, flowers and an appropriate trophy for their efforts. Former Penn National Speedway video races and hundreds of driver photos were a continuing attraction throughout the three day Race Show event.

Popular ARCA driver, Bobby Gerhart of Lebanon, history making, Six time Daytona Speedway ARCA 200 winner, attracted a lot of attention with his photo signing and his gifts of Free Pocono Raceway grandstand tickets, for the June 5th, ARCA 200 Racing Series event. The "Young Guns" group of young racers, who appear weekly at Big Diamond Raceway and Grandview Speedway, was a hit of the race show, when they appeared on center stage, Thursday night. Pennsylvania's Senator Mike Folmer was a surprise welcomed visitor, who individually greeted the happy car owners and drivers in the EXPO West Hall auditorium.
