RCN CABLE TO TELEVISE SIX EVENTS AT GRANDVIEW IN 2010



BECHTELSVILLE, PA February 13, 2010 . . . For the tenth consecutive season RCN-TV will be carrying events from NASCAR sanctioned Grandview Speedway.

Six events will have RCN-TV coverage with subscribers in the Lehigh Valley and a large surrounding area able to see the action from the one-third-mile, clay banked oval located in Bechtelsville, PA.

“The TV coverage introduces auto racing to people who may not have had the opportunity to see a race at our track,” said promoter Bruce Rogers. “It also gives fans that may have missed the event a chance to see what they missed. And the exposure generated by the television coverage is great for businesses that sponsor race cars and races at Grandview. It allows them to reach a larger audience.”

RCN-TV coverage will kick off with the 49th annual season opener on Saturday, April 3 when the NASCAR Modifieds and Late Models will be featured. Again this year Randy Kane, a writer for a number of publications, will be part of the broadcast team along with another long time media professional Mike Feltenberger.

Other racing events that will have television coverage include:

* Saturday, May 1, Modifieds, Late Models and Roadrunners

* Saturday, June 12, Modifieds and URC sprint cars

* Saturday, July 3, Firecracker 40 Late Model special and Modifieds

* Saturday, July 31, Sportsman and Steel Block Bandits Late Models (40 lap feature)

* Saturday, August 14, Forrest Rogers Memorial for Modifieds (paying $10,000 to win) along with Late Models.

A free-to-the-public practice session on Saturday, March 27th at noon will give racers an opportunity to test and tune their new equipment before the season starts. All divisions of competition are invited to participate.

Season passes for the 2010 season, giving you a reserved seat for all the Saturday night events between April and September, are available for $300. Send a check or money order along with a self addressed postage paid return envelope to Grandview Speedway, 87 Wilt Road, Bechtelsville, PA 19505. Make sure to include your name, address and telephone number.
