CHANGES ANNOUNCED FOR LATE MODELS AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

 RACERS FLEA MARKET SET FOR SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5

BECHTELSVILLE, PA October 22, 2017 . . . Contrary to rumors NASCAR Late Model stock car racing will continue at Grandview Speedway in 2018 and beyond.

                Owners and drivers were invited to attend a meeting this past Saturday to discuss the future of the Late Models at Grandview. With input from attendees a number of changes were announced.

                Late Models will now have warm-up laps with the other Saturday night classes which includes TP Trailers Modifieds and Sportsman. After track preparation the Late Models will then run their timed hot laps to decide the starting positions for the feature race.

The carburetor rule is now open with any size 4 barrel carburetor deemed OK for use.

                Starting in 2018 any Late Model coming out to race for the first time will be able to run their track tire for qualifying and then will be required to use at least one G-View stamped tire for the feature. Each week that they race they will be required to add another G-View tire until all four wheels are using G-View tires.

                And ALL CLASSES are reminded that DIGITAL GAUGES OR DIGITAL DASHES are not allowed. This has been in the rulebook for a number of years. DIGITAL TACHOMETERS ARE ALLOWED.

                The schedule for 2018 is in the planning stages and will feature the NASCAR Modifieds, Sportsman and Late Models along with special events.

                The annual Racer’s Flea Market will be presented at Grandview Speedway on Sunday, November 5 starting at 7 a.m. This is a great opportunity to pick up some bargains and sell some items no longer being used.
