Neal Williams

Neal Williams will be returning to Bridgeport once again in 2017 after making a return in the middle of the season last year.  Williams, once again will be steering the wheel of the Overhead Door No. 0 for long-time car owner Sal Debruno.  "It felt so good to be back home last year.  I mean I grew up at Bridgeport and I've always run good there.  We got the car better and better each race, right to where I finally knew where we had to have it," relayed Williams.  "We didn't change much this winter at all.  I know how the car needs to be and we found it last year."

'The Wheel' will be driving a Teo-Pro car powered by a Morrison Big Block.  Neal's '17 schedule consists of all of Bridgeport's shows, Brett Deyo's South Series, and all of Georgetown and Delmar's races that don't conflict.  "Our goal is to win 5 races this year with this aggressive schedule.  I also want to win the Bridgeport championship as well.  Anything less than a top 3 in points would be disappointing to say the least."  Williams has modified wins at Bridgeport, Big Diamond, Georgetown, NES, and Volusia, while also claiming the 2011 Sportsman championship race at Syracuse.

Some of the sponsors on the Overhead Door car that can be seen will be Overhead Door of South Jersey, Williams Truck Parts, Jones Pulleys, Fox Shocks, DMI, and Teo.  "We're working on some more sponsors.  Some places want to be on board with us coming back to Bridgeport which is pretty neat.  I can tell you one thing:  There's gonna be a whole new look for the Overhead car this year," hinted Williams.  Some of the guys that can be found wrenching on the Neal's car are his father Ronnie Williams, Uncle Bob, Jimmy, Wayne, and Al (Gratto).  In 2015 Neal Williams won a 358 Small Block race and the Big Block Poker Series in just a few visits.  In 2016 his finishes were progressively improving.  The Williams-Debruno Team is looking to combine the past two seasons experiences and apply them to a successful 2017 year
