Every once in a while it seems Geezer finds himself on the receivinG end of a random act of kindness. Aside from this entire season beinG made possible by the Bartorillo’s of Limerick, Pa. last Saturday was one of those times…
A short story I need to share: After the races are complete each Saturday at Grandview, all fans are welcome to the pits afterwards where they can come back and chat with their favorite drivers, Grab some freebies, see the cars, crew members, owners, announcers, sponsors or whomever and just cool down and Get to know one another. Last Saturday night I was introduced to a fine Gentleman ‘’Ron L. ‘’ for the first time by a mutual friend (who will remain anonymous due to finders fees…LOL) in the pits after the main events. On the ride home from a lonG day at the track I received a phone call that ‘’Ron L’’ wanted to buy us a tire. This ladies and Gentlemen is what it’s all about. A true fan wantinG to help a racer who survives week to week by keepinG the nose clean and makinG ends meet however need be. Thank you ‘’Ron L’’ and enjoy your care packaGe that is on its way to you. QUICK RESULTS:
Al Yusko and Matt Bartorillo were the ‘2 live crew’ for the eveninG and had the Geezer ready for qualifyinG with a jump to the lead and a win (number 2 of the season) in the heat race ! A feature finish of 9th was all we could muster. Rolled it on the trailer and aGain, we learned a lot. We will Get rem next week !!
ConGrats Craig VonDohren on his milestone 100th win in the TP Trailer Modifieds, a amazinG record for sure. In the Sportsman Craig Whitmoyer finished second and my buddy Ryan Higgs finished a strong third. Winners name is Douche’ BaGGe’, hope that’s spelled correctly, I might Get sued... Good job Craig, Ryan and all Sportsman drivers minus ‘’1’’. Another conGrats to Brian Shuey and the Scott Lee owned #177 BRC Late Model on their 5th win of the season !! They are on a roll !!

· A late conGrats to Danny Lane on his win last Friday niGht in the #29J micro sprint !! This weekend they experienced some mechanical issues that hindered their performance but these Guys are on fire !! Great team and Danny still owes me a car washin or ten !!
