FOR THE THIRD TIME THIS SEASON FRANK COZZE WINS A TP TRAILERS NASCAR MODIFIED FEATURE ON SATURDAY AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY, BRIAN SHUEY WINS FOR FOURTH TIME THIS SEASON IN LATE MODELS AND MIKE LISOWSKI GOT HIS SECOND SPORTSMAN WIN ON HATFIELD QUALITY MEATS NIGHT
DIRT Hall of Famer Frank Cozze drove to his third TP Trailers NASCAR 358 Modified feature victory of the season on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway. Former BRC Late Model champion Brian Shuey was able to add another win to his impressive record in Late Model competition as he won his fourth of the season. And Smiley, the Hatfield Quality Meats mascot, congratulated Mike Lisowski for his second Sportsman win of the season on Hatfield Night.
Steve Swinehart came up with another strong finish to grab second in the 30-lap Modified feature. Mike Gular was credited with third followed by Brian Houseknecht and Ryan Grim. Jeff Strunk had finished third but was disqualified for a rule infraction.
Point leader Chuck Schutz finished second in the 25-lap BRC Late Model feature followed by Dave Ogin, Steve Todorow and Brian Sipe.
Joe Funk grabbed second in the Sportsman main event with Derrick Smith third followed by Mark Kemmerer and Jim Housworth.
WNPV-1440AM Radio of Lansdale, PA steps in to sponsor the Saturday, July 30th night of NASCAR stock car racing. Included will be the Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman along with the popular Blast from the Past Vintage racers. WNPV, the official area NASCAR station, has been a long time supporter of stock car racing at Grandview. Henning’s Trains of Lansdale will be making three youngsters very happy as they give away three sets of Lionel trains to lucky winners. Henning’s is the area’s authorized Lionel dealer and service station and the Henning family has fielded a Late Model stock car at the Bechtelsville clay oval for a number of years.
The Pocono IndyCar Series tickets have a value of $1,100. One set is for seating in the Terrace Club which includes pre-race pit/paddock passes plus complimentary food and beverage. Two other sets of tickets include pre-race pit/paddock passes.
And on August 6th Geiswite Creations is presenting a Back To School Giveway Night with school age kids having a chance to win some great backpacks. First 100 schoolagers through the main gate will receive a folder with notepad and pencils.
