The NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series returns to the Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, July 26 for the second Annual 410 Sprint Thunder Cup & Modified double show, and this event just got bigger. As a result of the June28 rain out, the remaining twenty laps of 410 sprint feature and a 30 lap modified feature will be added to the Tuesday night, July 26 racing program. With a big night of racing planned, the starting time will be moved to 7PMfor time trials.
At 7:30 PM, the 410 sprints will take to the track to open the program with their make-up feature. Greg Hodnett inherited the lead on lap fifteen after Ryan Smith tangled with another car displaying the yellow. At that point, the rain began to fall and the field returned to the pits. The twenty-five minute shower ended all chances of restarting the race. Hodnett will be in the lead position to restart the remaining twenty laps followed by Brent Marks, Lucas Wolfe, Stevie Smith, Doug Esh and TJ Stutts. This events pays $5,000 to the winner, $1,000 for tenth and $400 to take the green. The 30 lap modified feature is next on the order of events followed by some track prep before starting a complete program of qualifying for both the 410 sprints and modifieds all leading up to the 35 lap 410 Sprint Thunder Cup and the 30 lap modified feature.
Advance tickets may be reserved by calling 443 513 4456. Be sure to leave your name and number of tickets. You may pay for and pick up your tickets on race night at 4 PM. Advance ticket holders may enter the grandstand at 4:30 PM, one-half hour prior to general admission tickets going on sale.
General admissions tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for children 6-11 and children five and under will be admitted Free. The pit fee is $35 and a license is not required.
