FOUR DIVISIONS OF RACING AT WNPV-1440AM RADIO NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW SATURDAY; KIDS CAN WIN LIONEL TRAINS AND ADULTS HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN POCONO INDYCAR TICKETS

 
BECHTELSVILLE, PA July 27, 2016 . . . Just six weeks of racing that counts toward the lucrative track and NASCAR titles remain on the Grandview Speedway schedule and that includes this Saturday night’s card of exciting stock car racing.
                Craig VonDohren, the defending titleholder, has moved back in front of the TP Trailers NASCAR 358 Modified standings with 3099 points. Second is now held by Mike Gular, winless so far this season, with 3012 counters. Jeff Strunk, a multi-time champion, sits third with 2903.
                In the Sportsman division Jordan Henn continues to lead the standings with 2187 points just 8 points ahead of Saturday night winner Mike Lisowski’s 2179.
                And in the BRC Late Models defending champion Chuck Schutz is in front with 2564 while Dave Ogin, without benefit of a feature win, is second at 2517.
                NASCAR stock car racing returns to Grandview Speedway on Saturday, July 30, with a four division show that will include the TP Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman plus the added attraction of Blast From the Past Vintage stock car racing. The night will be sponsored by the local NASCAR station WNPV-1440AM in Lansdale. They will be giving away $1100 worth of prime seat tickets for the Pocono IndyCar race coming up in August. In addition Henning’s Trains of Lansdale will be giving away three sets of Lionel trains to lucky youngsters in the stands. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with racing starting at 7:30 p.m.
                The weekly Low Down and Dirty Driver Meet & Greet will take place near the main gate at 5 p.m. and will feature Modified veteran Glenn Owens, Late Model standout Bill Henning and Sportsman talent Ken Eckert Jr.
                On August 6th the BRC Late Models will be the featured attraction as they top the Bernheisel Race Cars sponsored night with a 30-lap feature. The Late Models will receive over $10,000 in product and gift certificates from a variety of participating manufacturers. All Late Model racers attempting to participate will receive giveaways each valued at approximately $250. In addition to the Bernheisel promotion Geiswite Creations is presenting a Back To School Giveway Night with school age kids having a chance to win some great backpacks. First 100 school-agers through the main gate will receive a folder with notepad and pencils.                 In addition to the BRC Late Models there will be racing for the TP Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Sportsman. Racing action will start at 7:30 p.m.
                Grandview Speedway, a one-third-mile, banked clay track, is located on Passmore Road just off Route 100 in Bechtelsville, PA, 10 miles north of Pottstown. A full assortment of great concessions and novelty items are available. Free parking on the grounds. Fans are invited to the competition area after the events are completed to meet the racers.
