BUSINESS BOOMING AT BERNHEISEL RACE COMPONENTS

 

The staff at Bernheisel Race Components was thankful for a relatively mild winter as business was booming with over 30 new late models ordered and built. Numerous used cars rolled out the doors, existing customer cars were rebuilt/renovated and parts and components were selected from the BRC warehouse for thousands of customers to prepare various racing cars for the new season.

New cars were completed for Pennsylvania area teams as well teams from across the country. Among the local stars with new Lazers late models are Dan Stone, Jake Jones, Ricky Elliott, Allen Brannon, Devin Frey and Mike Blose. Nationally, a few from the list buying new 2016 BRC Lazer X Ultimate Weapons were Riley Hickman in Tennessee, Jase Kaser in Nebraska, defending UMP Western Regional Champion Justin Reed of Quincy, Illinois, Rusty Schlenk in Ohio and Eric Turner in California.

BRC is more than just a premier chassis and car manufacturer. Their huge inventory of parts and racing components make them the most complete racing shop in the region and likely among the best nationally. They have an extensive warehouse of wholesale and retail parts plus tubing, aluminum, lexan, plastic, body kits and complete bodies. They have a large walk-in showroom but also do mail order and online order processing. BRC provides MIG welding services for aluminum and steel and has a shock repair center for all brands featuring a computerized Roehrig shock dyno, digital spring testing and an Accuforce spring smasher for dual stage and bump stops. They also have a sandblasting/powder coating building on site.

Jim Bernheisel, President of Bernheisel Race Components, announced that last year’s sponsorship for the limited late models at Grandview Speedway will be renewed in 2016. There will be a BRC Superior Products Night, with every late model competitor in action that night receiving something of real value. Bernheisel will be partnering with parts suppliers and manufacturers to provide real components and parts. The only requirements to the competitors is that on that night they display Bernheisel Race Components decals on the left and right sides of their cars to receive their portion of the $7000 parts to be handed out.

Also at Grandview, Bernheisel will again sponsor the Hard Charger Award and will have a weekly tire giveaway. Each night a tire will be given away by the luck of the draw of all late models in attendance. A driver can only win one time and at the end of the year, any driver that has participated in all late model events during the season who has not won a tire during the year will be given a tire.

“Everyone knows we build LazerX race cars but this is about all racers no matter the manufacturer of the cars they drive,” stated company president Jim Bernheisel. “We have a complete warehouse of parts for all cars and we have our powder coating shop as well. These Superior Product Nights are for all drivers.”

2016 Lazer debut wins were recorded by Riley Hickman (three wins at three different tracks in Georgia and Tennessee in three starts!) and Allen Brannon at Winchester Va. In all four of these cases the winners were the only Lazers entered for the events.

In addition Lazer swept four of the the top five spots at the Grandview Speedway opener in Pennsylvania highlighted by the 1 - 2 finish of brothers Sean and Cory Merkel.

Jim proudly shares that with the ‘Ultimate Weapon’ LazerX Chassis, BRC has “more late model wins per car built than any other chassis company.”
