BRETT BALLARD STARTS THE 2016 SEASON OFF WITH AN IMPRESSIVE SECOND PLACE FINISH AT GEORGETOWN SPEEDWAY
Although Ballard had an overall stellar performance, his day of racing started off with a bit of misfortune. During his qualifying event, the right front shock became dislodged from its mount and he retired from his heat race. Forced into the consolation contest by the loose shock, the Pennsville, NJ resident became eligible for the feature by finishing second. In the main event, Ballard drove his Teo Pro Car flawlessly by knifing through traffic and deftly avoiding several incidents on the fast half-mile dirt oval at the famed Georgetown Speedway. Afterwards, the B&M Motorsports driver was all smiles as his crew and fans congratulated him on his stout second place finish to Brandon Grosso. “It was a good run. Starting in twentieth, I used up the car climbing towards the front. I am very happy to begin this year off on a strong note and hope to park this hot rod in victory lane next time,” stated Ballard.
