The tradition of making great Kettle Chips, runs deep in the Dieffenbach family line. Mark Dieffenbach grew up on his father Herbert’s farm and took an interest in cooking, often preparing dinner for the family including their full Thanksgiving dinner. At a very young age he began experimenting with homemade potato chips on his stove top. In 1964 he made his chips available to others, beginning to sell the kettle cooked chips he perfected in his family’s kitchen.
Mark’s son, Elam, continued the tradition, and expanded the business and now Elam and his son, Nevin, have taken the business to a new level, expanding the plant capacity by more than 150% in the past 3 years. The state-of-the-art factory makes both the signature Dieffenbach’s array of flagship kettle chips as well as the new One Potato Two Potato national brand, which is now sold internationally and can be found emblazoning the 119B of Brandon Bernheisel.
Whether you’re looking for Old Fashion kettle chips cooked in traditional oils, with traditional flavors, or one of the latest flavor trends including sweet potato, mesquite Bar-B-Q, sour cream and onion, salt and vinegar and jalapeno, you’re sure to find something you love, made by Dieffenbach’s.
