BUDD PLANNING TO DO MORE RACING IN 2016
Sicklerville, NJ (January 27, 2016) – After competing in only one event last year, Matt Budd is planning to do more racing in 2016. “I am preparing to enter more races in 2016. Right now, I have the Crate/Sportsman Poker Series at Bridgeport Speedway on my schedule and plan to enter several other events as time permits,” stated Budd.
Budd, a B&M Motorsports driver, has been involved in the sport for nearly twenty years. In 1997 at the age of six, the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Vahlco Racing Wheels started out by racing motorcycles. In 2005, he began to drive 125cc Mic ro-Sprints in Delaware and Pennsylvania. After several seasons in the 125cc Micro-Sprint class, Budd moved up to the 270cc Micro-Sprint division in 2009. In his first event in a 270cc Micro-Sprint, he pulled into Victory Lane at the Winter Nationals in Florida and he completed his successful visit to the south by winning the Winter National point championship. In 2010, he began to compete in the Crate Sportsman division at Bridgeport Speedway. Budd amassed ten victories and picked up the Rookie of the Year title. While running a full schedule in 2012 and 2013 at Bridgeport Speedway, the consistent and smooth driver from Sewell, NJ finished second in the Crate/Sportsman point standings. “I am anxious to get going this year and looking forward to getting back to victory lane,” said the twenty-five year old driver.
