FAN FRIENDLY PLANS ANNOUNCED FOR GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY FREEDOM 76 CLASSIC‏

GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY MAKING SOME CHANGES TO CREATE A MORE FAN FRIENDLY EVENT WHEN 45TH ANNUAL FREEDOM 76 TAKES PLACE ON SEPTEMBER 12
BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 26, 2015 . . . The annual Freedom 76 Modified stock car classic at Grandview Speedway continues to be one of the most successful short track dirt racing events in the nation. The 45th annual edition of the race, which attracts some of the best dirt track racing talent, is set for Saturday, September 12th with the winner walking off with at least $25,000.
                With another huge crowd anticipated, the Rogers family, operators of the Berks County racing facility, have announced some changes that they feel will make the event more enjoyable.
·         There will be no saving places, using of items to mark places in line, for the Freedom 76.
·         After the Friday, September 11th, event all blankets and other seat coverings must be removed from the grandstands.
·         Campers will be allowed to stay on the speedway grounds starting on Saturday, September 5th. All campers are asked to use the Turn 4 parking area.
·         There will be no block parking or blocking of any driveways. If fans do not honor this camping system then next year there will be a charge for camping on the grounds and there will be attendants to park you as you arrive.
·         No tarps will be allowed to lay on speedway property.
·         Please keep the convenience and pleasure of the other campers in mind.
 
 
Fans and racers should be aware that Freedom 76 winners during the past 25 years are invited to participate and will have to make an actual qualifying attempt or they will not be added to the field.
And management reserves the right to give any other speedway a guaranteed starting spot for the Freedom 76.
Advance tickets for the annual Freedom 76 are available at the track on Saturday nights and by mail until September 4. Advance tickets are priced at $35 for adults. On race day adult tickets will be priced at $40 while youngsters 6-12 paying $10 and children under 6 will be admitted for free. Pit admission is $45. No license is necessary.
Those ordering tickets in advance by mail should send a check/money order payable to Grandview Speedway covering the tickets ordered. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope to speed the return of the ticket order. Mail to 87 Wilt Road, Bechtelsville, PA 19505.
For the second year in a row a Friday night event will be presented, September 11, and will feature the exciting 305 Sprints and the ROC Sportsman stock cars. In addition Modified racers taking part in the Saturday event will be given ample practice time. Admission is $12 for adults, $5 for youngsters 6-12 and those under 6 are admitted free. Racing starts at 7:30 p.m. There are no advance tickets being sold and there is no rain date.
The 45th Annual Freedom 76, won last year by Stewart Friesen, will have racing action starting at 7 p.m. Advance ticketholders will be able to enter at 3 p.m. Ticket windows will open at 3:30 p.m.
Lap sponsorships are available for $20 per lap and include listing in program book and mentions on the public address system on event night. Racer Bobby Gunther Walsh has announced that he is posting a $581 Hard Charger Award for the Freedom 76 in memory of Modified racer Mike Bailey who recently passed away.
