The “Lias Tire” 358 modifieds will race double features on Friday. The makeup feature which was stopped after four laps were completed due to rains will be the first race on the card. The feature will pick up where it left off with Craig VonDohren leading the way and attempting to pick up his first win of the season at the speedway.
VonDohren wheeling the Searock Fabrications #26 is coming off a second place finish in last Friday’s feature and looking stronger with each passing week. However, it will not be easy with multi-time feature winners Rick Laubach and Duane Howard along with the always strong running and last Friday’s feature winner Billy Pauch Jr looking to keep VonDohren winless on the season. Along with the stars of the track see drivers like the improving Justin Grim, John Wilman, Colt Harris, Ray Swinehart and Meme DeSantis all looking to spoil the action and steal one from the “Big Boys”.
After the make-up feature is completed the 358’s will take part in the nights regularly scheduled program for the evening along with the USS Achey Sportsman, Savage 61 Roadrunners, and Slifko Fabrication Street Stocks. General Admission for this event is $15, Senior Citizens are $12 and children 12 and under and active military with ID are admitted for free.
A great crowd was on hand last Friday for the George Stevenson Memorial race and hoping for the same this Friday. Weather wise it is looking to be a good night up in “Coal Country” and the action on the track has been awesome with all the drivers up on the wheel each and every race. Hope to see you there!!
