MULLINS, WILLIAMS & MICHAEL CLAIM WINS IN BRIDGEPORT THREE FOR ALL

In a first ever event of its kind, the Bridgeport Speedway received rave reviews from competitors and fans alike as they presented the "Three for All" event sponsored by Delaware Auto Exchange on Tuesday night.  Super Late Models, 358 Spec Head Small Block Modifieds and the United Racing Club Sprint cars made up the three division show that attracted racing fans with a wide variety of interests.

The one common denominator was the praise of the race track that competitors in all three divisions offered after their main events.  Glenn Elliott, who led the first twenty-three laps of the Super Late Model Feature said, "This is an awesome place.  I would love to come back!"  Neal Williams had high praise for the racing surface after winning the Small Block Modified feature as did URC Sprint Car feature winner, Curt Michael.  "Keith (Hoffman) did an awesome job with the track," Michael stated.  "We were the last feature to run and the track was as smooth as a baby's bottom.  He really kept after it all night."

Each of the three divisions competed in qualifying events and then a twenty-five lap feature.  A brief rain shower hit the track during the middle of the event but any major weather issues avoided the Bridgeport Speedway during the Three for All.

Glenn Elliott dominated the 25 lap Super Late Model Feature event that ran caution free until two laps two go.   Elliott had a sizeable lead over 22 year old Andrew Mullins who had raced his way from 8th to second during the green flag laps.  Donnie Lingo slowed in turn four, bringing out the race's only caution and erasing Elliott's lead.

On the restart, Mullins looked to the inside of Elliiot and had a slight advantage as the leaders headed into turn three but Elliott was able to pull even going through the corners.  When they came to the start/finish line, Mullins was the race leader.  Mullins led the final two laps to pick up the popular win over Glenn Elliott, Dave Zona, Ricky Elliott and Bryan Bernheisel.

CJ Fasion planned to compete in the Super Late Model event but a blown motor during warm-ups resulted in a short night for the Delaware native.

Neal Williams has been close to victory on several occasions at the Bridgeport Speedway.  The former Crate/Sportsman Champion has never forgotten how to make his way around the 5/8th mile track and Tuesday night was no exception.

Williams led from the green flag to the checkered but had to fight off the challenges of Jimmy Blewett on several occasions throughout the event.  Williams picked up the win - his first ever Modified win at the Bridgeport Speedway - over Blewett, Ryan Watt, Rick Laubach and Bryan Kressley.

Current Crate/Sportsman point leader, Jim Britt, finished seventh and picked up the Crate/Sportsman bonus for the event.

In URC Sprint action, Oceanview, DE driver, Curt Michael presented car owner, Bill Gallagher with a birthday present as he picked up his fourth win of the season and second in URC competition at the Bridgeport Speedway.

Art Leidel led the first four laps of the URC feature event before Michael took over on lap five.  Michael checked out on the field as he raced a half of lap ahead of the nearest competitor until a mid-race caution realigned the field.  When the green flag waved, Michael went right back at it as the race was on for the positions behind the leader.

Robbie Stillwagon had a car that got better and better as the race went on.  Stillwagon raced his way to a second place finish.  Josh Weller finished third followed by Mark Bitner and Dave Franek,

The Three for All was a unique event and the first of its kind.  And based upon the positive response, there will be more to come!
