RUB RAILS & ROOSTER TAILS. . . . . .THE AMSOIL 9TH ANNUAL EASTERN STORM TO OPEN AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY TUESDAY NIGHT, JUNE 2
Most race tracks want to avoid the storms, but Tuesday night, June 2 the Grandview Speedway and the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series is anxiously awaiting the return of the AMSOIL 9th Annual Eastern Storm for the USAC Non-Wing Sprint Cars and the ARDC Non-Wing Midgets. Gates open at 5 PM with race time set for 7:30 PM. If you have never seen non-wing sprint car racing, USAC at Grandview is a treat fill with rub rails and rooster tails. This special night of racing is also a salute to one of the all-time greats, Jesse Hockett, a two time USAC winner at Grandview who lost his life in a tragic accident in his garage in 2010.
Time trials and heat race qualifying for the USAC Non-Wing sprint cars will open the show followed by qualifying for the ARDC Non-Wing midgets. Be sure to get to the track on time, many race fans find the USAC times trials equally entertaining as the always action-packed feature events. The Jesse Hockett Classic will go a distance of 35 laps and pay a lucrative $6,000 to the event winner. The ARDC Midgets will close out the show with a 25 lap feature event.

We will hold your tickets at the WILL CALL Window and you may pay for and pick up your tickets after 3:30 PM. Advance ticket holders may enter the grandstand at 4:30 PM with advance tickets going on sale at 5 PM.
Some nationally known drivers planning to make the visit to Grandview include Dave Darland of Lincoln, IN a ninety-nine time winner with USAC. Could he land his 100th win at Grandview. Casey Shuman of Tempe, AZ, Tracy Hines of New Castle, IN, Robert Ballou of Rocklin, CA, Jarett Andretti of Mooresville, NC, Jerry Coons Jr of Tucson, AZ, Logan Jarrett of Kokomo, IN, Chase Stockon of Elizabethtown, IN and Justin Grant of Ione, CA are some of the pre entries.
Don’t forget, the AMSOIL Eastern Storm will move to the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA on Wednesday night, June 3 with a 7 PM starting time.
