Educational Night For Dan Green and The AMZOIL #46!‏

Bechtelsville, PA – The G & H Motorsports team has been searching for the extra speed to get Dan into the winners circle in 2015 and without having practice on track we have to try things on race day. Thursday night the team made a couple changes to the car to try and help Dan.

 

18 NASCAR BRC Late Models were signed into the pits as the night had the added bonus of the Blast from the Past Vintage Stock Car Club. Dan lined up 7^th in the first 8 lap heat race for the late models and with the event going green from start to finish Dan was unable to move forward and finished in 7^th.

 

Scott Green, Cathy Green, Todd Lapp, Jim Alexander, Jacky Higginbotham, Bob Higginbotham, and Brett Higginbotham worked to ready the G & H Motorsports #46 for the Feature Event.

 

15^th is where Dan was scheduled to start the 25 lap BRC Late Model Feature. The first green flag was quickly replaced by the caution as Steve Gross #62, Bill Henning #80 and Cory Merkel #16 were involved in a turn four accident. Restarting in the 12^th spot when the race went back to green and went to lap 15 until the next caution came out for Lou Egrie Jr #4e spinning in turn one. Dan restarted 13^th and was able to get by Henning to grab 12^th at the checkered flag. The changes that were made to the #46 Late Model, along with a deflating right rear tire, will be, to quote Dan “Put on the shelf labeled Don't ever use again”! Wayne Pfiel #72 picked up his second win of the season.

Dan is now 4^th in Points with his 12^th place finish. The next race for the G & H Motorsports team will be next Saturday May 16, 2015 at Grandview Speedway, racing starts at 7:30 PM. Dan and many other drivers will be helping turn Grandview “blue” in support of Neurofibromatosis and the Children's Tumor Foundation.
