QUAKER STEAK & LUBE DIRT TRACK HEROES SHOW ANNOUNCES DATES FOR 2016‏

QUAKER STEAK & LUBE 9TH ANNUAL DIRT TRACK HEROES DATES ANNOUNCED FOR MARCH 6 -12,  2016

While the Eighth Annual Quaker Steak & Lube Dirt Track Heroes Show concluded its successful week long run at the Phillipsburg Mall ten days ago, the Dirt Track Heroes staff has continued to work  diligently on the plans and the dates for the next edition of the annual event. In working closely with the Phillipsburg Mall management, the dates selected for the ninth edition of the popular show will be March 6-12, 2016. In making the announcement event organizer Bob Miller stated, "Both the mall and our event staff scrambled hard during the week to make sure the show would be another successful venture. The cancellation and rescheduling of two nights of shows caught us off-guard to a degree and collectively we have decided to move the show back one week to hopefully dodge any inclement weather that may occur." Miller further added, "It may well be an advantage for those who want to participate in the show but just couldn't get their cars completed in time and the extra week may be the catalyst in helping them be ready for next year's show."

On Thursday, it was confirmed that Quaker Steak & Lube will be returning in 2016 as the event sponsor of the ninth presentation of the Dirt Track Heroes Car Show.

The show was indeed a great success and even though the staff was forced to revise the scheduled nightly programming due to some harsh winter weather, the show brought out great crowds and great racers and 102 entries into the Mall. All nightly shows were well attended and brought out drivers, promoters, car owners and sponsors to the nightly gatherings. Some of the highlighted shows included the opening day with the stars of the Nazareth Speedway and the "Legends of Racing" on Friday and a roast to the "Everett Express" Gerald Chamberlain on Saturday.

The Dirt Track Heroes staff would once again like to thank all of the racing fans, drivers, sponsors and vendors for their support, dedication and patience in making the show a great success. Quaker Steak & Lube was the headline sponsor for the event and associate sponsorship was provided through IRCO Community Federal Credit Union, Smith Fabrications/Stage One Modifieds, Martocci's Automotive, Hamlin Speedway/S&S Speedways, Kim's Kreations, R&F International Muffler & Brake, Persa Auto Repair, Murante Auto Repair, Penn Jersey Food Marts, Vogel Race Design, Charles Price Jr Fire and Water Damage Restoration, Searock Fabrication & Speed, Adams Brothers Used Auto Parts, Jeff's Automotive and VRP Shocks.

Quaker Steak & Lube, the headline show sponsor is located just one mile east of the Phillipsburg Mall and has been quickly established as the place for race fans to meet before and after their visit to the show. Quaker Steak & Lube, known for its Best Wings USA and over 25 signature sauces, has over sixty-five locations throughout the United States and Canada and sells more than 80 million wings per year. It's a restaurant with a "racing theme" with much local racing fanfare to include the Mike Stasak owned Bobby Pickell #300 modified on a garage lift inside the restaurant. In fact, you may request the table directly under the modified. For additional information regarding Quaker Steak & Lube, check out their website at: www.thelube.com

The great fan base of racing came out to the Mall event and were transported back to a time when they could hop into their family jitney and travel less than a half hour to witness the excitement of a night at the races.  All historical racing groups including Reading, Flemington, Harmony through Greg Collins, Tri State, Friends of Nazareth and Bob Snyder Photos and Snyder Video, Big Mike's Videos, Justin Beltrame with Mocatek and Mike Ritter had their memorabilia on display and their many scrapbooks were open for the fans to take another long look at the glory years of racing to possibly find a picture or two they wanted to purchase as a keepsake from past glory or racing exploits.  More information regarding Dirt Track Heroes is available by calling: 443-513-4456.

On display at the Mall this year included big and small block Modifieds, Sportsman, Micro-Sprints, ARDC Midgets, 360 and 410 Sprints, TSRS Sprints, Late Models, go-karts, quarter midgets and a broad variety of vintage, drag and restored race cars.

Event Organizers Bob & Donna Miller have set the dates for the 2016 edition of the Quaker Steak & Lube Dirt Track Heroes show for March 6-12, 2016 and additional information will be announced shortly.   Special thanks to Quaker Steak & Lube and IRCO for their outstanding support.   Watch for Quaker Steak & Lube at the Thunder on the Hill events at the Grandview Speedway as well as the Jersey RUSH at the New Egypt Speedway.
