Sicklerville, NJ (September 5, 2014) – After receiving positive feedback from racers and fans about Modified Mayhem, Bridgeport Speedway management and Wiz Motorsports Communications have agreed to schedule another open Modified show on the quarter mile track for Friday, October 3. Rock and Roll 33 will feature a 33-lap feature on the tight inner oval following qualifying events. In addition, if a driver can win the Rock and Roll feature and win the Modified or Crate/Sportsman main event on Saturday, October 4 on the outer oval, a bonus of $500 will be awarded. Lou Cicconi, winner of the Modified Mayhem event on August 22, is expected to be on hand along with several other Modified and Sportsman competitors.
For the Rock and Roll 33 event, any Modified Stock Car from Crate Sportsman powered cars to Big Block Modifieds is eligible as an open motor rule is in effect. In addition, any 13 X 92 Modified track tire can be used for the race. A standard Dirt Car Modified body with or without Sail Panels can be used. No additional wings are permitted. A test and tune session for this special race will be held on Friday, September 26.
In addition to the Modifieds, the agenda on Friday, October 3 will include the 270cc and 600cc Micro-Sprints along with the 4-Cylinder Cars. Racing for the four-division program will get underway at 8:00 p.m. with all gates opening at 5:30 p.m.
