Sicklerville, NJ (September 16, 2014) – Lee Nardelli picked the most opportune time to score his first feature win of the year. On Sunday, September 14, the Bridgeton, NJ wheelman won the wingless 600cc Micro-Sprint Poker Series event at Bridgeport Speedway. With the victory, Nardelli was able to pocket the $1000 cash prize. Of note, this was Nardelli’s first wingless race with a 600cc Micro-Sprint car.
Nardelli started the evening on a strong note by winning his qualifying contest. His good fortune during this night continued as he picked the pole position for the feature during the redraw. At the start of the 25-lap main event, Nardelli outgunned Alex Bright to grab the lead. “I just found my line and went with it as it worked well,” stated Nardelli about the early moments of the race. Nardelli would lead every lap of the race to take the victory. After the race, Nardelli reflected on his first non-winged Micro-Sprint race. “The car does drive quite differently. My racing history in other divisions helped me quite a bit. We will definitely try wingless again,” stated the elated victor.
