CONTACT CURTAILS ANDERSEN’S RUN AT MODIFIED MAYHEM

Sicklerville, NJ (August 25, 2014) – On Bridgeport Speedway’s quarter mile track, contact with another competitor curtailed Corey Andersen’s strong run at Modified Mayhem on Friday, August 22.

The H&A Motorsports driver started the evening of competition on a very strong note. Coming from third, the Mullica Hill, NJ driver won the first heat race. Andresen drew the pole position for the 25-lap feature during the redraw for the top eight qualifying drivers. At the drop of the green, Andersen shot to the lead in the feature and paced the field for the opening six circuits. Lou Cicconi, the eventual Modified Mayhem victor, took control for the next three tours on the tight inner oval at Bridgeport Speedway. Following a restart on the tenth circuit, Andersen regained the lead. Before the lap could be completed, contact occurred between Andersen and Cicconi in the fourth turn. The damage from the incident forced Andersen to retire from the event and he was credited with an eleventh place finish.

After making repairs to their Bicknell racecar, the H&A Motorsports team returned to Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday, August 23 to compete on the five-eighth mile oval. In addition, the team rented a luxury box at the track to honor and host their 2014 marketing partners with a night at the races. Unfortunately, the 9A Modified did not see action on this evening as the event was cancelled due to light rain showers. The team will be in action on Tuesday, August 26 at the Beach Blast race at Georgetown Speedway.

H&A Motorsports is a Southern New Jersey based Big Block Modified team owned by Howard Huepfel and Rob Andersen with Corey Andersen from Mullica Hill, NJ as the driver. Several businesses from Southern New Jersey including Giordano’s Recycling of Vineland, Edward Jones of Mantua, First Choice Tire of Woodbury, Red Oak Disposal of Elmer, Scott’s Auto of Carneys Point, Sound Advice Audiology and Hearing Aid Center of Vineland, and Warren’s Hardware of Mullica Hill are featured as partners on the #9A Big Block Modified. Additional partnering opportunities for the H&A Motorsports team are available and these are designed for any budget. ILL HANDLING CAR ENDS BUDD’S MODIFIED MAYHEM NIGHT AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY

Sicklerville, NJ (August 25, 2014) – From his time spent in the 270cc Micro-Sprint division, Matt Budd has plenty of racing experience on the quarter mile at Bridgeport Speedway. On Friday, August 22, Budd raced his Crate Sportsman car on the inner oval for the first time at Modified Mayhem. The B&M Motorsports team member qualified for the feature and redraw by finishing a strong third in his heat race. After starting the contest in fifth place, Budd battled a loose race car and dropped out of the race with nine laps completed. “Along with a loose car, I should have chosen a different gear. Regardless, I had a blast,” commented Budd about his twelfth place finish. He is planning to compete at the Beach Blast event at Georgetown Speedway on Tuesday, August 26. Budd’s marketing partners in 2014 include Racersguide.com, Vahlco Racing Wheels, and Rick Sweeten Images.

Brett Ballard, another member of the B&M Motorsports team, was on hand as well for Modified Mayhem. Unfortunately, his evening of racing was cut short after warm-ups as his crew discovered a defective coil. Ballard returned to Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday, August 23 with his repaired car but the night of action was cancelled due to pesky light rain showers. Ballard will be joining Budd at the Beach Blast race at Georgetown Speedway on Tuesday, August 26. Plus, he will be back in competition at Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday, August 30. The John Latwinas Farmers Insurance Agency of Sicklerville, NJ, Larkin Auto Service, CB Productions, CTS Lawn Care, and Delran Auto Body are Ballard’s current marketing partners.

B&M Motorsports is a dirt racing team of three drivers, Brett Ballard, Matt Budd, and Brad Roberts. An assortment of marketing partnerships is available for the B&M Motorsports team in 2014 including the opportunity to spread a sponsorship across the entire team of three cars. Interested parties should contact Mike Wisniewski at mikewiz1962@yahoo.com.
