GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY QUICK RESULTS FROM SATURDAY, August 30, 2014

MANMILLER WINS FIFTH MODIFIED FEATURE OF THE SEASON AT GRANDVIEW ON BERNHEISEL RACE COMPONENTS NIGHT, STOUDT TOPS IN LATE MODELS AND KRESSLEY GETS SPORTSMAN WIN
Bechtelsville, PA August 30, 2014 . . . . For the fifth time this season Doug Manmiller was able to wheel to victory in the 30-lap Bernheisel Race Components Night NASCAR Whelen 358 Modified feature race at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night. Brett Kressley, currently second in the Sportsman standings, was able to drive to victory in the 25-lap Sportsman feature race giving the young racer his fourth victory of the season.

 Current point leader Randy Stoudt charged to his sixth win of the season taking the victory in the special 30-lap Bernheisel Racing Components Late Model feature race.

Ryan Grim had an impressive run to finish second to Manmiller in the Modified feature while Tim Buckwalter, a feature winner earlier in the season, grabbed third. Duane Howard beat Jeff Strunk across the finish line to grab fourth and gain a few points on the current point leader meaning that Howard still has an opportunity to catch Strunk on the final night of point racing next Saturday night as they battle for the lucrative Modified point title.
The 25-lap feature for Sportsman had Brandon Whitmoyer coming home behind winner Kressley while third went to Sean Weiss. Jason Neidlinger grabbed fourth and Mike Lisowski took fifth.
Defending champion Chuck Schutz came home second to Stoudt in the 30-lapper for the Late Models with sophomore talent Dan Green getting another impressive finish grabbing third. Joe Fanelli earned a strong fourth place finish followed by Sean Merkel.
                Racing action continues at Grandview Speedway during the Labor Day Holiday weekend with the exciting ARDC wingless midgets in action on Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. along with the Hilborn winged sprints cars. The doubleheader show will feature 25-lap features for each division plus a full series of qualifying heat races. Adult admission is just $15 while youngsters 6 through 12 pay $5 while kids under 6 are admitted free. At the main gate at 5 p.m. the Low Down and Dirty Meet and Greet is offered for fans giving them a chance to meet a few of the top racers, collect autographs, take photos and get a close look at the race cars. This is the final Open Wheel Spectacular of the season.
                Coming up on Saturday, September 6th, 7:30 p.m. Green Lane Wm. Penn and Four Star Lettering present a tripleheader show of NASCAR 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman stock cars. It will be the final NASCAR Whelen All American Series point races of the season. Many of the Modified talents will be using this final point race as tune-up for the September 13th $25,000 to win Freedom 76 Classic. Adult admission is $15 while youngsters 12 and under are admitted free. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m.
