Dan Green Has Another Top 10 In The Linda's Hair Techniques #46!

Bechtelsville, PA – Grandview Speedway on Saturday nights is where the G & H Motorsports team race the #46 NASCAR BRC Dirt Late Model that Dan Green pilots.
The night started out as a little bit of a question mark after the warm-ups as the track was a little different then what we expected. Dan and the team made some slight changes to make the car better for the Heat.
Dan was scheduled to take the green 5th in the second 8 lap heat race for the Late Models. The race got started and as the race was about to complete lap 2, John Giesler #ZT1 hit the wall coming out of two four and Joe “Geezer” Fanelli #22 had no where to go and hit Giesler with his right rear. As the race went back to green Dan restarted in 3rd behind Bill Henning #80 and Jason Miller #44. Miller got by Henning on lap 3, Dan passed Henning a lap later and gave chase after Miller. Going in to turn three on the last lap the driveshaft failed in the #46 and caused some damage in the rear of the car but Dan was able to coast around and finish 5th after running in 2nd.
Bob Higginbotham, Scott Green, Cathy Green, Debbie Dutter, Dan and Brett Higginbotham went to work to repair the damage and get the HOTROD Processing #46 ready for the feature event. As the team was short handed that night we would like to thank Lou Egrie Sr and Steve Butler for their help in getting the car ready as there was more damage then what was first thought. We were also able to help out “Geezer” Fanelli as he needed a shock for his car to make it out for the feature event and we had a spare that would work for him.
With the repairs made to the car Dan lined up in 6th place for the 25 lap Feature. As the green was displayed Dan quickly found out that the car was on the loose side and before lap two could be completed Dan spun in turn 3. Most drivers did a great job in missing Dan except John Giesler #ZT1, who clipped Dan's nose and that broke Giesler's steering and he collected Buddy Mertz #00. Dan and Buddy were able to continue but Giesler had to be towed off the track. With a single file restart and Dan in 16th he was about a half a lap behind the leader as the race went back to green. With only one other caution for a Sean Merkel #118 spin, Dan was able to drive up to 7th at the checkered. Jason Miller #44 went on to get his second feature win of the season and Dan continues to be 6th in the season long point battle.
The G & H Motorsports team is also scheduled to be part of the Low Down and Dirty Meet and Greet Next Saturday August 23 at Grandview Speedway, so come out early and pick up some free items from our sponsors. The Night is also a special night for the Late Models as Bernheisel Race Components/Superior Products are sponsoring the night with the late model racers receiving a lot of products.
It's with a heavy heart that we send out our prayers to 15 yr old Joshua Houck's family as he lost his battle with serious health issues today August 17.
