School kids to get free school supplies and chance to win backpacks
Freedom 76 entry blanks available, practice session set for September 12
BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 20, 2014 . . . The BRC Late Models will be racing in a special 30-lap feature race on Saturday (August 23) as part of Bernheisel Racing Components Super Products Night at Grandview Speedway,
Late Model racers, display the BRC decals on both sides of their race cars, will be able to share in more than $5,000 worth of products courtesy of Bernheisel Racing Components. Every Late Model racer will win something.
In addition to the Late Models the NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Sportsman stock cars will be part of the big tripleheader show that has a 7:30 p.m. starting time.
With only three point races remain the battle for positions and wins becomes even more important as racers make every effort to improve their final point position so they have a chance to share in the lucrative point fund money offered at the end of the season by NASCAR and the Rogers family.
As part of the special Late Model night the popular Low Down and Dirty Meet and Greet set for 5:30 p.m. at the main gate will feature three of the top Late Model racers including Kory Fleming, Sean Merkel and young Dan Green.
The first 50 youngsters through the main gate will have the opportunity to receive school supplies and also have a chance to win backpacks courtesy of Jennifer and Scott Geiswite.
Adult admission is $15 while youngsters 12 and under are admitted free.
Sunday, August 24th, 1 p.m. the Outlaw Enduro racers will be in action along with the Blast from the Past Vintage Racers. Adults pay $10 admission for that event.
Just announced is news relating to the huge Freedom 76 weekend coming up at Grandview Speedway on September 12-13. For the first time there will be a special doubleheader show of racing, featuring the ARDC midgets and Race of Champions Sportsman on Friday, September 12th at 7 p.m. Adult admission will be $12 while youngsters 6 through 12 pay $5 and kids under 6 are admitted Free. Tickets will be sold at the main gate on the night of the event.
As part of the Friday night show the Modifieds will be invited to participate in a special practice session as they ready for the Saturday Freedom 76 that offers $25,000 to the winner. Those taking part in the Modified practice session will be required to pay the normal pit admission fee.
Speaking of the Freedom 76 Classic, entry blanks can now be found at www.grandviewspeedway.com or at the track pit office. Pit passes for the September 13th Freedom 76 are priced at $45 and no NASCAR license is required. Adult spectator admission is priced at $35 while youngsters 6 through 12 pay $10 and kids under 6 are admitted free.
Fans coming out for the Freedom 76 weekend, September 12-13, are reminded that no block parking for campers is permitted. No unattended fires and no open fires are permitted, and there will be NO burning of wooden pallets or skids. Those who ignore the safety rules in place will face fines.
Open wheel racing fans are reminded that the final Open Wheel Spectacular of the season is set for Sunday, August 31st, 7:30 p.m, and will feature the Hilborn TSRS Winged Sprinters along with the ARDC Wingless Midgets.
