INEVITABLE RAIN FORCES FRIDAY'S PRACTICE CANCELLATION AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY
Bridgeport, NJ (March 28, 2014) – With a 70% chance of rain predicted throughout the day and evening, Bridgeport Speedway has cancelled the practice session slated for Friday, March 28 on the 5/8th mile oval.
Hand No. 1 of the 2014 Poker Series is scheduled to take place Saturday, March 29. The Race of Champions Modified Tour will compete in the 60over Special as the '811 Dig Safely' Crate/Sportsman, and 'Stewart Stainless' Outlaw Stocks will round out the program. "This weekend's forecast was certainly not what we were wishing for," track owner Brian Ramey expressed. "We realize that the forecast is not in our favor and we will be watching it closely as we have all week long. A final decision will be announced regarding this weekend's activities by 8am Saturday morning. We appreciate everyone's excitement for this race but unfortunately the weather is about the only thing we can't control at this point."
Pit gates unlock at 11:00 a.m. with the spectator ticket office opening at 1:00 p.m. Racing starts at 4 p.m. Fans (16 and older) are admitted for $25 with student (10-15) tickets priced at $12. Children 9 and under are free. Pit admission is $35
