I wanted to take a few minutes to update everyone on my condition and
also thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. While my body is still on
the mend, the pain fades in areas that have healed and comes in other areas as
the feeling returns. The doctors are confident that with hard work and
dedication to therapy, 99% recovery is expected. The hard collar comes off
tomorrow, March 1st, and I start physical therapy. I was overwhelmed with cards
and get well wishes that have been much appreciated. It is a wonderful feeling
to know that so many people are concerned about my well being. Cards, fruit
baskets, dinners, desserts, phone calls, and visitors have helped me understand
what a wonderful group of people that I am surrounded by.
I need to thank my family for their support during this time. My
parents, children, siblings and others that are like family made sure every need
was taken care of. A Very special thank you to Mom & Dad, my son Daniel, and
my girlfriend Brenda. I thank God that my injuries weren’t more severe. I
realize how lucky I am.
I know many are concerned about when I will return to the race track.
According to the Doctor, the bones have healed and while the soft tissue damage
is still mending, he said as soon as I feel strong enough, I can resume all
activities. I will work hard through the month of March with all intentions of
racing the Ice Jam in April at Fonda Speedway in Jake Sprakers 1J. I will be
returning to Glen Ridge Motorsports Park in the Nelson 85 car. I have been in
some talks about a Friday night ride as well but that still remains up in the
air. I hope to pick up a few rides throughout the year to compete in some of the
selected series races. We expect a very busy year at Supply Wagon Rentals in the
coming months with tools, equipment and party rentals.
Once again, I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts,
prayers and encouragement during my difficult time.
God Bless You all.
Sincerely,iv>
Bobby Varin
