RISLONE URC
SPRINT SERIES
DAVIE “NO
PANIC” FRANEK LEADS RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES TO DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL SATURDAY
NIGHT, JULY 20
The Franek
and Stillwaggon show may continue once again in 2013.
Last year,
Rislone URC Sprint Series drivers Davie Franek and Robbie Stillwaggon battled
most of the season for the URC 2012 championship title. It was finally decided
at the last race of the season with Robbie Stillwaggon of Burlington, NJ
claiming the championship by a narrow margin over Davie Franek. Stillwaggon,
the winner of three features in seven starts held the point lead through most of
the 2013 season. A flat tire for Stillwaggon on Saturday night at New Egypt
Speedway opened the door for Davie “No Panic” Franek to take the point lead
heading to the Delaware International Speedway on Saturday night, July 20.
Stillwaggon
has been at the peak of his game through seven races and Franek, who experienced
a slightly slower start this season, has been coming on strong over the past
three weeks. So strong that Franek is the current point leader with a
twenty-eight point advantage over Stillwaggon. Another remarkable story is
that of Brian Carber of Pipersville, PA. Carber, in his first season with URC
is currently positioned third in the point chase and just thirty-three point out
of the top spot.
Nestled in
fourth in the point chase is JJ Grasso of Pedricktown, NJ. Grasso, also known
as the “Jersey Jet” us well within striking distance of a second championship.
Making up the top five is Josh Weller of Mertztown, PA. Weller, the charge
from behind guy in always in the hunt in the closing laps of any feature
event.
