RAIN AND SOGGY TRACK CONDITIONS CURTAIL BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY’S TOM
HAGER MEMORIAL

Bridgeport, NJ (July 3, 2013) – With sporadic rain falling on a soggy
track, Bridgeport Speedway management reluctantly postponed the Tom
Hager Memorial slated for July 3. The management team is looking at
potential open dates in order to reschedule this three-division event
that was to be headlined by a 43-lap Poker Series event for the Big
Block Modifieds and fireworks.

With no racing taking place on Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6,
the next activity at Bridgeport Speedway is set for Friday, July 12.
On this night of action on the quarter mile track, S&D Racing will
sponsor the $500-to-win 600cc Micro-Sprint feature. The Garden State
Vintage Stock Cars will be on hand with a display and exhibition event
on the inner dirt oval. The docket includes the 270cc Micro-Sprints
and 4-Cylinder Enduro Cars. Gates unlock at 5:00 p.m. with racing
starting at 7:15 p.m. Grandstand admission is $10 for fans 10 and
older. All kids 9 and under are FREE. Admission to the pit area is $25
with a license and $30 without a license.

On Saturday, July 13, both ovals will see action during Women on
Wheels Night. On this evening, Powder Puff races will be held for
female participants on the quarter mile track. Big Block Modifieds,
Crate/Sportsman and Outlaw Stocks will be in competition on the big
and fast 5/8th mile speedway. The pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. with
the grandstand turnstiles unlocking at 5:30 p.m. Action gets underway
at 7:00 p.m. Adult (16 and older) admission will be $15 with students
(10-15) being admitted for $10. Kids 9 and under are free. Pit
admission is $30 for Bridgeport members and $35 for non-members.
