RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES
RAIN STOPS MACH 1 CHASSIS URC EVENT FRIDAY NIGHT AT
WILLIAMS GROVE, URC HEADS TO GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY SATURDAY NIGHT, JUNE
15
Mother Nature decided to rain all day, forcing the
postponement of the Friday night, June 7 MACH 1 Chassis URC event at the
Williams Grove Speedway. A track rich is sprint car racing history, many
drivers want to race at the Grove, but all them want to win there. The URC
roster of talent will now have to wait until Friday night, August 2nd
when the 7th Annual Rislone Nationals invade the Mechanicsburg, PA
oval. The Rislone Nationals will pay $4,000 to the winner of the 25 lap event.
URC’s next event is set for the Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, PA, on
Saturday night, June 15, the always tricky one-third mile high-banked oval.
Grandview is another one of those tracks that drivers just want to win at.
From the drivers viewpoint, it’s track you either love or hate, but however they
feel, they still want to add their name to the Grandview feature winner’s list.
Race time is set for 7:30 PM. For more information, please visit their website
at: www.urcsprints.com
Last year, the Rislone Nationals saw Tony Stewart invade and
take the win. Previous winners of the Rislone Nationals include Lance Dewease
(2011), Daryn Pittman (2010), Aaron Ott (2009), Kenny Adams (2008), Ed Aikin
(2007) and Pat Cannon won the inaugural event in 2006. Along with the
attractive first place prize, tenth will pay $1,000 with $325 posted just to
start this always big event.
The MACH 1 Chassis 360/358 Challenge event will be
rescheduled for Friday night, August 23 with $2,200 going to the race winner.
Mach 1 Chassis maintains a large inventory of open wheel parts and accessories
at their Mechanicsburg, PA shop. They inventory enough parts and products to
essentially a complete race-ready roller. Mach 1 fabricates many parts in-house
as well as serving as an authorized dealer for many of the sports leading
manufacturers. If they don’t have it, Mach 1 will get it for you! Take a tour
of the Mach 1 Shop by visiting www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8_tib553C4. For more
information, call Mach 1 at 570 898 8018 or visit the shop at 10 North
Frederick Street Mechanicsburg, PA.
With three Rislone URC events now in the books for 2013,
youthful Brian Carber of Pippersville, PA is leading the point chase. For
Carber, 2013 marked his move to the 360 sprints and, he is a new competitor to
URC. In just a short period of time he has risen to the top spot in the URC
point battle. Just two points behind Carber is Davie “No Panic” Franek, URC’s
runner-up in the 2012 point battle. Josh Weller of Mertztown, PA, now driving
for Chris Weiss is third in points followed by defending champion Robbie
Stillwaggon as Randy West rounds out the top five.
