TWO BIG EVENTS AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY THIS WEEKEND
Bechtelsville, PA June 6, 2013 . . . There will be racing action at
Grandview Speedway on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend.
On Saturday night the NASCAR 358 Modifieds will headline the tripleheader show sponsored by TP Trailers of Limerick. Craig VonDohren will be going for his 300th win (according to stat keeper Brian Brutosky) of his impressive career and that could happen at Grandview unless he is a winner at Big Diamond Speedway the night before. VonDohren was close to being a winner last Saturday at the Berks County oval. Duane Howard, the current point leader in the 358 Modifieds, will be looking for his fifth straight win and his sixth of the season. Challengers will include such standouts as DIRT Hall of Famer Frank Cozze, Doug Manmiller, Mike Gular, Meme DeSantis, Tim Buckwalter, Jon Kellner, Jeff Strunk and a host of others.
In addition to the 358 Modifieds the Late Models, led by point leader and six time champion Chuck Schutz, and the Sportsman, lead by new point leader and defending champion Jared Umbenhauer, will see action.
At least 14 events of racing will make up the exciting night of action with the Modifieds racing in a 30-lap feature that has 28 starters while the Late Models and Sportsman stock cars will run in 25 lap features.
Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. and there is a driver meet and greet at that time. Warmups at about 6:45 p.m. Racing starts at 7:30p.m. Adult admission price is $15 while young people 12 and under are admitted FREE.
Then on Sunday, June 9th, 1 p.m. the Outlaw Enduro racers are in action along with the Blast from the Past Vintage Cars. Adult admission is $10 and youngsters 12 and under get free admission.
Coming up on Saturday, June 15th is the only regular Saturday night appearance of the Rislone URC Sprint Cars with one of their very exciting shows. We will remember URC racer and official Midge Miller who passed away recently. In addition there will be racing for the NASCAR 358 Modifieds and a special appearance by the Blast from the Past Vintage cars.
Admission for this great tripleheader special will be $25 for adults, youngsters 6 thru 12 pay just $5 and under 6 are admitted FREE.
