DRENCHING RAIN CANCELS FAST AND FURIOUS FRIDAY RACING AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY

Bridgeport, NJ (June 7, 2013) – Drenching rain, including remnants of
Tropical Storm Andrea, forced Bridgeport Speedway management to cancel
the Fast and Furious Friday racing slated for June 7. The next event
on the quarter mile takes place on Friday, June 14 with a big
four-division card. S&D Racing will be sponsoring the 600cc
Micro-Sprint feature with $500 on tap for the victor of the 20-lap
main event. Black Flagged Racing will be offering cash bonuses and
trophies to the top three finishers in the 20-lap feature for the
270cc Micro-Sprints. A 50-lap enduro contest for 8-Cylinder Cars on
the inner oval has been added for this night. No entry fee is required
for this special event and interested drivers should contact the
Bridgeport Speedway office at 856-467-4407 to register for this race.
The 4-Cylinder Enduro Cars will be in competition as well. Gates open
at 5:00 p.m. and the first qualifying event starts at 7:15 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $10 for fans 10 and older. All kids 9 and
under are FREE. Admission to the pit area is $25 with a license and
$30 without a license.

Bridgeport Speedway will be in action on Saturday, June 8 with
Nostalgia Night. The Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club will have a
display along with an exhibition event. The racing on this night will
include the Big Block Modifieds, Crate/Sportsman, Outlaw Stock Cars,
and Rookies. On Saturday, June 8, the gates to the pits open at 4:30
p.m. with the grandstand turnstiles unlocking at 5:30 p.m. The first
qualifying event gets underway at 6:00 p.m. Grandstand admission is
$15 for fans 16 and older and $10 for Students (10-15). All kids 9 and
under are admitted at no charge. Pit admission is $30 for Bridgeport
members and $35 for non-members.

On Wednesday, June 12, the mighty 410 Sprint Cars roar into Bridgeport
Speedway for Night of Wings 2013. A 25 lap main event worth $7,000 to
the winner is up for grabs. The “Take the Green” money for this very
special race will be a cool $500. A $500 hard charger award is
available as well. The top finishing 360 Sprinter will get an
additional $1,000. Confirmed entrants for this race include Dave
Blaney, Dale Blaney, Lance Dewease, Danny Lasoski, Brett Marks, Danny
Holtgraver, JJ Grasso, Danny Dietrich, Curt Michael, Greg Hodnett, and
Danny Sammons. Sponsors for the Night of Wings 2013 program include
Rider Racing Engines, Wings Unlimited, Viper Venom Fuel, Jake’s Carts,
Fast Tees and Lelands.com. To complete the show, the TSRS Sprint Cars
will be on the card. On Wednesday, June 12, the gates to the pit area
open at 4:00 p.m. with the grandstand turnstiles unlocking at 5:00
p.m. Hot laps start at 7:00 p.m. with action getting underway at 7:30
p.m. Night of Wings 2013 tickets for fans 16 and older will be $25 in
advance or $30 on the day of the show. Admission for students (10-15)
will be $15 and children 9 and under are free. Admission to the pit
area is $35. A rain date of Thursday, June 13 has been established for
this event.
