The MMF
Chassis company headed up by owner and driver Mark Manieri Jr. has displayed
cars at the show in the past but this year comes in as a sponsor and touting his
sharp-looking and high flying MMF Chassis design cars that are built and
assembled in Easton, Pennsylvania. Mark has a rich and storied history in the
sport while following in his father's footsteps to assist the legendary Modified
great, the late Tom Hager. Mark learned his lessons well and used his knowledge
gained to embark on a new enterprise right out of high school. Mark built his
first chassis in 2010 for the 270 Sprint division and enjoyed great success with
it. Mark sustained an injury at his shop in 2011 while building his first 600
Sprint but after being cleared to race from his doctor, promptly put the car in
victory lane a few weeks later. Knowing the timing was right, Mark decided it
was time to share his success with the rest of the racing community. Opening his
doors full time in 2012, Mark has built winning cars as MMF drivers claimed six
wins during the 2012 racing campaign. A new addition to the MMF House has been a
TQ Midget that Matt Janisch has steered to some impressive runs during the
indoor season. Mark is diversified in offering superb fabrication work on any
type of race car and the 2013 racing season will see 18 MMF race cars doing
battle in the local area. Mark can be reached at: 400 Island Park Road in
Easton, Pennsylvania and his phone number is: 484 866 5361. The website for MMF
Chassis is: www.mmmfchassis.com. The IRCO Dirt
Track Heroes Show thanks MMF Chassis for coming on board for the event and make
sure you talk to the representatives throughout the event. At MMF Chassis, they
drive with the slogan "attack the track" and might we add, "they don't look
back".
Vogel Race
Design is headed up by Jason Vogel. Vogel is a life long racing fan and has
worked with many teams in the past and is currently working with young driving
star, "The Canaan Sensation" Eddie Strada, whose grandfather and father, both
named Ed, had formidable racing careers on the Southern Tier racing circuit.
Jason is a graduate of the Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts with an
Associates Degree and formed his own company in 2001 to begin putting graphics
on commercial projects and local race cars in the area. His reputation as an
expert in his field has kept his phone ringing off the hook and pointing towards
a bright future for the aspiring graphic artist. Jason is of the belief it
should not cost you an arm and a leg for sharp, high quality graphics and
lettering and will work around each customer's schedule to finish the job
correctly and will travel to your shop or garage to work his magic. Jason
offers free quotes and can do anything from Tri Axles Dump Trucks to race cars
of all types or street tuners. Vogel Race Designs has what it takes to peak
your interest with bold eye-catching graphics that will look fast even when you
are standing still. Jason will be doing a wrap on a car during the course of the
IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Show so head on out to the Mall and check out his great
design work. Jason can be reached at: 570 903 0811 or you can email him at:

The Denise
and Randy Smith promoted Hamlin Speedway is located in the heart of the Poconos
Mountains. The Hamlin Speedway was resurrected from a dormant state eight years
ago by the Smith Family and with a solid working staff have transformed the
facility into a show place for eight divisions of racing every Saturday night
that features a solid roster of some of the most talented driving stars who are
beginning to make their mark in the world of motorsports. With a car count that
averaged 144 per show in 2012, the excitement and wheel to wheel racing action
at Hamlin has made the speedway one of the top entertainment values in the
country today for small car division racing. Buoyed by a great kitchen staff
that turns out some of the best speedway cuisine in the nation, the Hamlin
Speedway is a must see and do for great family fun and all at affordable
pricing. The new schedule for the upcoming season is in place and offers a
well-rounded cross section for all of the speedway divisions to be highlighted
during the 2013 racing season. Contact the speedway today at: 570 420 5500 or
check out their newly designed website at: www.hamlinspeedway.com Don't forget when you are
looking for something fun and exciting to do, try the S&S Speedways Indoor
Go Karts for some honest to goodness fender to fender and paint trading fun with
a gang of friends. Party rentals are available and the excitement of stomping
the throttle and dicing it out with your friends will have you coming back time
and again for more of the intense racing action. Check it out on the web at:
www.SSSpeedways.com In coining the phrase from
the Bachman Turner Overdrive, Randy Smith states, "You Ain't Seen nothing
Yet".
The longtime
broadcasting team of Ed and Steve Pados from Gasoline Alley fame, veteran
announcer Bobby Stull, Bridgeport and Thunder announcer Jeff Ahlum and former
Lake Mocatek co-announcer Justin Beltrame will head up the announcing team for
the week long show. IRCO Vice President Greg Collins, who also serves as the
noted historian of the Harmony Speedway, is expected to have much of his
memorabilia from the Harmony Speedway for the event and Beltrame will once again
spearhead and show the vast collection of Lake Mocatek material he has collected
over the years.
The "Golden
Era" of auto racing from the late fifties through the early eighties was an era
that saw many changes take place in the way the race cars were constructed. The
word "stock" gave way to ingenuity at first and followed closely by technology
as the race cars became less stock appearing and relied more heavily on the
latest speed part that would make the race car go faster. While the years have
changed the look and the cost of racing, the spirit of the competition remains
much as it was when racing in the local area was first launched. The great fan
base of racing can come out to this grand Mall event and be transported back to
a time when they could hop into their family jitney and travel less than a half
hour to witness the excitement of a night at the races. All historical racing
groups including Reading, Flemington, Harmony, Dorney Park and Nazareth will
have their memorabilia on display and their many scrapbooks open for the fans to
take another long look at the glory years of racing and possibly find a picture
or two they want to purchase as a keepsake from past glory or racing
exploits.
Entries are
being accepted to display in the IRCO Dirt Track Heroes Show. More information
is available by calling: 443-513-4456 or you may complete the entry form located
on the home page of the: www.thunderonthehillracingseries.com web site. Follow the simple

cars of all divisions, street rods, vendors and race tracks as
well.
In the
previous events, cars that were on display included big and small block
Modifieds, Sportsman, Micro-Sprints, ARDC Midgets, URC Sprints, TSRS Sprints,
Late Models, go-karts, quarter midgets and a broad variety of vintage and
restored race cars. New Egypt, Grandview, Big Diamond, Bridgeport, Hamlin,
Accord, Action Track USA, Borger's and Snydersville will again be among the many
speedways involved with the 2013 show. The week-long event will set aside one
evening to salute the "Stars of Tomorrow" with a special night set aside for the
budding young racing talents competing with the many quarter midget clubs in the
area and this night has proven to be one of the highlights of the week as many
will be giving their first ever interviews to a sizable crowd.
The IRCO Dirt
Track Heroes Car Show will again offer a great keepsake event souvenir program
book and shirt. The Phillipsburg Mall is open Sunday 11 AM to 6 PM and from
Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 9 PM.
