TIM HOGUE'S #39 TO CARRY PIZZA LOGS ON RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES OF 2012

Trenton, NJ – Tim Hogue will once again be a Rislone URC Sprint Car series regular thanks to sponsorship signed this week with the Original Pizza Logs. Hogue, 35, finished seventh in that tough 360 Sprint Car series last year but was unsure if he’d have the finances to continue as a regular this season. A phone call from Mr. Cordova of Pizza Logs helped insure he’ll be at the URC series opener at Delaware International Speedway on April 28 and all other events on the schedule.

Hogue, who owns two URC victories, is also a former ASCS Northeast series champion.

The second-generation driver from Medford, N.J., would like nothing more than to get the family owned No. 39 to the front of the field. “I am looking forward to representing Mr. Cordova and his company and getting them to victory lane,” said Hogue.

Original Pizza Logs is part of the Finger Food Products Company, which is located in Niagara Falls, N.Y. The company logo appears on many different race cars, most in the area where the company is located.

“He told me that their very recognizable “Pizza Logger” tends to bring good luck to the cars it is on so I’m hoping that works for me too because if it wasn’t for bad luck I wouldn’t have had any last year,” said Hogue. Original Pizza Logs can be found at quite a few tracks in upstate New York. Hogue hopes to get some of the tracks that URC races at to start selling the product as well. The company is a perfect fit for Hogue who lists pizza as his favorite food. “I’ve had Pizza Logs at the races in New York before and it is a great product,” he added.

Hogue has been preparing for the season despite not knowing if he’d have the finances to compete at every event.

His motor will be freshened by Kriner’s Racing Engines. They rebuilt the motor for him last year and it ran great. They found some much needed horsepower and think they may be able to fine a little more.

Hogue will be using Maxim Chassis with additional sponsorship from CnB Mushrooms, Air Care of NJ, Dylan’s RV, KB Letterin’, and Quality Auto Body. Product sponsors include Winters Performance, Robison Racing Products, Jones Racing Products, GME, Simpson, Pro Shocks, Bruce's Speed, HTMA, Precise Racing Products, Bell helmets, Sanders Wheels, Wilwood Brakes, Whitebread Racing Enterprises, Roach Wings and West Fabrication.

Good thing happen to good people. Last Friday, Hogue made a special appearance with his Sprint Car as part of Daryl Dissinger’s mission for Dissinger’s Race 2a Cure Foundation.

Hogue visited a five-year old boy who is dying from cancer. The boy, Declan, is from Downingtown, Pa. and is suffering from Rabdomyosarcoma.

“He has about a week to live,” said Hogue. “It was sad but the coolest thing I have ever done. I have never been to the Matheny School (for Cerebral Palsied children in Peapack, N.J.), but I imagine it is a similar feeling to how Kevin Eyres and everyone from racing who brings joy to those children feels every year when they put on their annual Christmas party for them.”
