It’s official the age will be 14 for the SSCS
After waiting for word from management at Grandview Speedway the word came down that the official age for the Sunday Small Car Series will be 14 years of age.
There had been a lot of speculation that the age may end up being 16 years of age, Series promoter Pete Knappenberger had always been pulling for 14, “a lot of our drivers in all for series are 14 and 15 years of age, it would have definitely hurt our car count, so when Grandview Management contacted me with the great news I was so happy”. Pete Knappenberger said.
The full schedule is up at www.pjkproductions.com there is a meeting planned on March 18th at Fire Company #2 in Emmaus at 1pm. Small car teams that have never run at Grandview Speedway are welcome to attend their practice day on March 31st.
The SSCS has announced that in order to get fans in the stands we will only charge $5.00 for spectators over 16, and $2.00 for spectators 6-15yrs of age and under 5years of age free.
During the season there will be several promotions for the fans, for example, bring your ticket stub from another small car track and receive $1.00 off of your adult admission price.
“We will have a weekly fan appreciation promotion”, Pete says, “buy 3 adult tickets for $15.00 and receive the fourth one free.” There will also be weekly giveaways for the kids.
The series has announced that they will not charge a “car entry fee” to the drivers there will only be a $30.00 pit entry for everyone entering the pit area. The “more money” race however will have a higher pit gate admission price and will have a “car entry fee but in return there will be higher purse being offered to the race teams”
