AT LEAST $80,000 IN FIRST PLACE MONEY TO BE PAID DURING SIX WEEK PERIOD AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA February 16, 2012 . . . As part of the continuing 50th season anniversary celebration 358 Modified racers that make Grandview Speedway their home during the 2012 season will be racing for some serious cash, some added perks and both NASCAR and track point funds.
During one six week period, August 11th through September 15th, it is possible; a racer on a hot streak could walk off with at least $80,000.
How does that happen? The Forrest Rogers Memorial presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings, a 50-lap race for Modifieds that remembers the man who built the track, is set for Saturday, August 11th and pays $20,000 to win for a Grandview Speedway regular. Non-regulars will race for $10,000 to win.
The following four Saturdays the NASCAR 358 Modifieds will be racing for $2,500 to win their 30-lap features and who knows there just may be some extra perks included.
Come Saturday, September 15th, the event that has so many fans and racers talking, the BPG Racing Freedom 76 will close out the 50th anniversary season for the 358 Modifieds with the 76-lap feature race paying an astounding $50,000 to win.
So add it all up and you have at least $80,000 available to the 358 Modified feature winners during that six week period time.
Of course the NASCAR Modifieds regularly race for one of the biggest area first place offerings with $2,500 going to the winner of a regular 30-lap feature race. The popular NASCAR Late Models race 20-laps in their features for $800 to win and the new Sportsman division will race for $600 to win.
Sportsman racers planning to compete at Grandview Speedway during the 2012 season are asked to contact Tina Rogers at tmm0327@dejazzd.com with their transponder number, car number and contact information including hometown. The list of racers planning to be a part of Sportsman racing at Grandview continues to grow and it is important that the requested information be provided in advance of opening night to avoid long lines and confusion.
A NASCAR license is required for all that plan to enter the pit area for the NASCAR sanctioned Saturday night racing events that kick off with 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Sportsman on April 7th at 7 p.m. Adult admission for regular Saturday night events will be a low $15 while youngsters 12 and under will be admitted FREE. And there is free parking on the speedway grounds.
A free to the public practice session is set for Saturday, March 31st at noon and is open to all divisions of racing. The practice session will be followed by a NEETS Enduro.
Season passes that include a reserved seat of your choice and cover all Saturday night events between April 7th and September 15th are available for $325. For information telephone 610.754.7688.
Grandview Speedway is located just off Route 100 on Passmore Road just 10 miles north of Pottstown. For information on racing check in at www.grandviewspeedway.com, including a full season schedule, or telephone 610.754.7688.
