RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES GEARS UP FOR 2012 SEASON

The 65th season of the United Racing Company is quickly approaching with the calendar changing to 2012.

Returning as the URC Tour Sponsor will be Rislone, a long time supporter of this popular 360 sprint car group in the Northeast. URC competitors will chase several lucrative payoffs that include the $3,000 to win Bar's Leaks National to take place at the New Egypt Speedway on Saturday, July 7 along with the $5,000 to win Rislone Nationals set for the Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, August 3rd. The season finale and final point race of the year will again take place at the Grandview Speedway with the 25 lap Pioneer Pole Buildings $3,000 to win feature. Several other increased paying events are currently in the planning stages as well.

Rookie interest is certainly high heading into 2012 with new talent like David Swanson, brother of Jonathan Swanson. Don Mazy, Chris Glenden and Delaware modified driver Steve Downs are all looking at the prestigious URC Rookie of the Year honors.

The Rislone URC schedule currently has race dates at the Delaware International Speedway, Williams Grove, New Egypt, Grandview, Big Diamond, Port Royal and Selinsgrove Speedway with dates being discussed at the Lincoln Speedway and several other tracks.

URC is offering very attractive tire pricing 2012, thanks to American Racer and a portion of the Rislone sponsorship contribution. A right rear tire will sell for $159, the left rear tires are $155 and $138 for front tires. The support of the Rislone funds towards the attractive tire pricing is designed to keep race teams "racing" all season long.

A new twist in 2012 for URC is instituting the Delaware Start on a weekly basis. All original starts and all restarts up to, two laps to go will offer the Delaware Start, where the pole car sits along in the first row and all other cars are double-file. The restarts should certainly be more exciting and offer more late race passes and thrilling feature finishes.

The Rislone URC Sprint Series will be present at the 2012 Motorsports Race Car &Trade Show in Oaks, PA January 20,21 and 22. Look for the large Rislone bottle and you'll find the URC booth along with the showcased sprint cars of Robbie Stillwaggon and Ed Aikin. In 2012, Stillwaggon and Aikin are expected to be strong contenders for the series championship and both already have their eye on the high paying events. Aikin won the PBB race at the season finale at Grandview with Robbie Stillwaggon scoring an impressive second place finish after his late race charge.
