Duane Howard win's the 76er from the origanal starting spot of 3rd, but on the 14th lap got together with pole sitter, Mike Nicholas, and spun, putting howard to the rear of the 40 car field. Jon Kellner took over the top spot from lap 2 untill he spun out on the 43rd lap, Putting Kenny Gruber into the lead. Gruber led from lap 43 to lap 60..Rich Tobias took over the top spot, as defending 76er champion, Billy Pauch dropped out with mechanical problem's at this point, and by now Howard has worked his way back to the top spot taking the lead away from Rich on the 71st lap and held off all other competitor's to the end. Top ten finnishing order was 1) Duane Howard, 2) Rich Tobias, 3) CVD, 4) Billy Schinkel, 5) Ray Swinehart, 6) Ken Gruber, 7) Terry Meitzler, 8) Doung Pennepacker, who came all the way from the 39th starting spot. 9) Kenny Brightbill, Glenn Strunk finnished just outside the top ten. There were eight heat race's and four consi's to qualify.
Heat win's went to in no particular order...Kenny Gruber, Ken Stambaugh, Steve Bottcher, Terry Meitzler, Jon Kellner, Kerry Kratz, Richie Tobias, Ronnie Tobias.
Consolation race's went to Kevin Hartnett, Barry Readinger, Jeff Strunk, and Smokey Warren won the minute man twenty. Hard luck award went to Randy Bailey #1K
